Heather Walford
We grow lavender flowers on our farm in south west Western Australia. We harvest our lavender for dried flower and we make organic lavender products. Our farm has a large garden a cottage and a campground that we need help with.
The lavender is harvested in January. We have a farm café open 3 days a week, a 2 bedroom cottage and a campground and we are building a bike packers in town that will service the growing cycling industry.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We love sharing our property and lifestyle with visitors. We appreciate having helpers and engaging in conversation with people from around the world.
We believe we offer a great cultural exchange, Rob has an extensive knowledge of the history of the area as he is 5 generations born in Busselton.  Heather has lived and worked in Nannup for over 25 years.
We enjoy showing WWOOFers our property and talking about our experiences and also learning about other countries and travels.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We use mulch to keep the weeds down as well as regular brush cutting in growth season (Oct to December).  We use a weed burner for our paths.  We built two wicking beds to grow herbs and salad greens over summer!
