Kath Gardiner
We purchased this 1 acre property in June 2025 right on the edge of town. It is in an arid region of Victoria with hot dry summers and mild winters. The gardens have been neglected over the years and were very overgrown and unruly.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We joined WWOOF as hosts with benefits for both parties. We have some help on our property and WWOOFers get to experience our way of life and also get to explore a great food and wine region of Victoria.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We are trying to create a permaculture way of gardening with focus on sustainability. We want to use natural fertilisers ie chook poo, worm castings, worm tea. We want to collect our own seeds from our vegies so they become accustomed to our climate and become more resilient against disease and pests. Our goal is to be able to grow and preserve as much of our own food as possible without chemicals.
