Kate Brown
Eagle Point Cottages and organic orchard is a beautiful 10 acre property in the Gippsland Lakes region. Days here count toward your 2nd and 3rd year visa as we are in a disaster recovery area. This picturesque area includes lakeside walks, Raymond Island (koala’s), cafes and 90 Mile beach. You can borrow our kayaks or bikes to explore the area. Our property is located 10 mins drive from Bairnsdale train station, there is also a local bus. Our family hobby farm includes holiday cottages for tourism, we have a medicinal community garden, we do natural bee-keeping and have around 30 hives, an organic orchard with around 50 trees, seasonal fruit preserving, permaculture garden, chickens, sheep, an alpaca, and 2 pet dogs.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

Our family got involved with woofing around 2012 and we enjoyed the cultural exchange, making new friends, sharing this beautiful area and really appreciate the help to look after the property. During that time we hosted around 35 woofers. We took a break over the covid years and look forward to welcoming new friends.
