My review is a bit late sorry for that. My friend Elisa and I stayed with Paul and Myrna for 2 weeks at the beginning of August and it was awesome. We shared great time, the place is amazing, many fruits trees across the property, the vegetable garden is great with a variety of choice and the meals that Myrna cooked were always super tasty, with a nice way to share the cooking skills ! We felt super comfortable in the caravan, it felt like home quickly. Paul and Myrna are interesting, kind and with good communication, what they shared with us was wonderful, I loved the time I spent in this beautiful place. I hope they enjoyed our company too. I hope to meet them again sometime in this life ! Take care, it was a pleasure to meet you.
What can I say... I just want to confirm and underline all the reviews given by previous WWOOFers to keep things non-repetitive, everything written so far is more than true.
It seems to be a trend for people to extend their stay if they get the chance and so did I, staying for 6 weeks with Paul & Myrna on this beautiful piece of land.
I am so thankful to have been given the opportunity to get to know such lovely people and the great community of local friends and returning WWOOFers they have built over the years, it has made my trip to Australia truly special!
Wether it was an open-minded exchange of knowledge and experience regarding all things gardening with Paul, going for an afternoon stroll & conversation with Myrna and the cats, preparing beds and planting/harvesting veggies with a diverse crowd of visitors or collectively cooking and enjoying delicious meals derived from the garden, I relished every moment. Not to mention working in the glorious patch of rainforest they have established on their property, so inspirational to see what true passion and hard work can accomplish!
All in all a wonderful and enriching experience, would highly recommend!
The two weeks spent at Myrna & Paul’s farm have been so wonderful!. They are keen to share their skills with great humility and kindness.
Their passion for the garden and the rainforest is very communicative and makes you want to participate fully in their project. The farm is in a bucolic & peaceful setting and gave us a lot of peace of mind. Without forgetting the region which offers the possibility of doing so many things (splendid beaches, surfing, walks, running…).
Paul & Myrna knew how to welcome us with great care and we can never thank them enough!
Oh Paul & Myrna… where to begin? If you find yourself lucky enough to stumble across this gem, don’t miss out. My partner and I intended on staying here for a week, and ended up staying for nearly 4. I seriously could write a book about how much I love this place & what these people are doing. The caravan accommodation is so lovely and generous. We worked 10 hours a week in exchange for accommodation, and it was so relaxed and lovely. Paul is a beacon of knowledge! If you enjoy surfing, then you’re in even better luck. Great breaks nearby, and a “priority of good waves over garden work” is the general motto around here. If I could have stayed longer, I would have! I could easily spend several months soaking up the company of these incredible people. 10/10. So much love! Until next time, cheers. 💛 / Emily & stefan
I have been in this beautiful property for 1 month and a half and it was one of my best Australian experience. Paul and Myrna made me very comfortable, they are very nice with lots of little stories. They are very good chefs, the dinner was exellent each time. The beach is a 10 minute drive and Paul can teach you how to surf.
The work was not difficult and different all the time.
I recommend this Woofing to everyone.
Thank you very much Paul and Myrna.
Dear Paul and Myrna,
Thank you again for hosting me. I had a really great time with you!
I spent one week with Paul and Myrna and it was a great experience. They always made sure that I felt welcomed and comfortable. I gained new experiences in mulching, weeding, planting, harvesting, bush regeneration and crop irrigation. I really enjoyed learning more about the organic methods and how you use them. Also Paul and Myrna did everything they could to give me a great time, showing me places around Byron Bay like Mullumbimby and the Brunswick River and also let me borrow their electric bike to have a ride and enjoy the beautiful landscape around Newrybar. I am very greateful for my time and I can highly recommend this farm to other Woofers.
Kind regards,
Mara
