Short Property Description
Join us on a hands-on native plant nursery and agroforestry microfarm just outside Bellingen. We grow everything on-site using low-input, ecological methods and sell at the weekly farmers market. WWOOFers stay in a farm house close to the workspace, with easy access to propagation benches, greenhouse setups, and agroforestry rows. Ideal for those keen to learn about native species, sustainable land care, and practical biodiversity.
Organic/Biological methods we use
A significant portion of our production process is largely self sufficient. We locally source our seeds and cutting material, recycle our pots and find new uses for our older stock by planting them out in our area. By doing so, very little is wasted and it saves on unnecessary transport. We believe in localizing the process as efficiently and effective as possible from beginning to end. Being producers of native plants we were pleased to discover how well they can co-exist with fruit trees and in many cases enhance the traditional orchard experience. There are many varieties of pioneer rainforest species that serve as excellent companions for fruit trees such as citrus or macadamia.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
Working with plants for the most part is both easy and relaxing and can be some of the most rewarding and educational work you can do. I believe that we can offer that to anyone wanting to gain more knowledge while working in a relaxing, friendly environment. We’re excited to share what we know and work together with more people so that we can prosper together.
