Our Place: We (Jane and Aaron) are hosting a tiny experience from Australian miniature goats, miniature donkeys, miniature ponies (Pepper and Spice) and Aussie White sheep. The hobby farm is situated at Copping, SE coast of Tasmania en route to Port Arthur and 20 minutes from rural town, Sorell. 5 minutes from our place is beautiful beach Marion Bay beach.
The property is a mix of pasture, trees and small vegie gardens. There is a tiny home that is used as an Airbnb and a family friendly cottage that we are renovating at present. The farm has 1 friendly border collie.
What we offer and what is involved: We would like to share our time and your time spending with the animals and helping to keep the farm maintained so the animals have the best home possible.
This involves brushing the animals, (more like a scratch) hanging out with the animals to aid in human contact, feeding, manure picking up, gardening, pasture management, weeding and general odd jobs. If your a competent horse rider this would be an advantage.
Accommodation: There is a fully equipped bus (shower +toilet+ oven+sink+ queen bed), modern design, dry and tidy. Plenty of storage and your own garden if your stay is long term.
