Minimbah Permaculture Farm is a small community hobby farm with a multi generational family originating from France living here as caretakers. We enjoy exploring everything to do with sustainability including growing veggies, herbs, fruit forests, raising chickens, bees, ducks, geese and donkeys. We love having travellers come and stay and grow and learn with us. We have a beautiful dam that acts as a natural swimming pool and 148 acres, 100 of which is bush that can be explored.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We have had so many amazing travellers come and stay with us that have reluctantly have had to leave because of needs to fulfill their 88 days visa requirements. Since we are in a fire and flood effected area we would love to open our home to those who are looking for volunteer work to fulfil that quota. We prefer long stays as we get time to really teach all of our knowledge and get the chance to make life long friends.

Organic/Biological methods we use

We are a Permaculture farm using all the methods of growing fruits and veges organically. We use the menure from the animals as fertilizer, we make our own compost. We are totally off the grid, we have 9 water tanks to provide for our water needs as well as a huge dam that provide water for the gardens.

Our chickens and ducks are totally free range and in return give us beautiful eggs.
