Want to learn about growing the sublime black truffle? We’d love to welcome you at Elvesgate, a beautiful place where we grow the only certified organic / biodynamic black truffle in Australia and possibly the world.
Our farm is not far from historic Braidwood in NSW and about an hour from Canberra. Besides growing high quality truffle, we also have a biodynamic home fruit orchard and vegetable garden, and 100 acres with cattle. We are happy to share our home and farm with you.

To meet people wanting to experience and learn more about organic and biodynamic farming, and who want to help out on our property. It is an enriching experience for hosts to meet a variety of people from different backgrounds, ages, cultures etc
Organic/Biological methods we use
Regenerative farming practices. Organic methods including use of farm produced compost, mulching, green manure, building the soil profile with natural additions, companion planting, worm farming, weed and compost teas etc. Managing ‘weeds’ in a holistic way.
Biodynamic methods include spraying out specific biodynamic preparations, farm work done in harmony with moon and planetary forces as much as possible, use of biodynamic tree paste, compost building with use of specific preparations. Happy to share knowledge and philosophy as well as practical application.
