Daylesford Cider is a family-owned craft cider producer located just outside Daylesford in the heart of Victoria’s spa country. Using locally grown apples from their orchard, the team produces a range of fresh, balanced ciders that showcase the region’s cool-climate fruit. The welcoming cellar door offers tastings, casual dining, and relaxed indoor and outdoor spaces overlooking the orchard and surrounding countryside. Visitors can enjoy cider flights, seasonal food, and a laid-back country atmosphere that makes it an ideal stop for locals and travellers exploring the Daylesford region.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
We joined WWOOF because we enjoy sharing farm life with people who are curious about where food and drink come from and how it is produced. Our property combines an organic apple orchard with a small craft cidery, and hosting WWOOFers is a great way to exchange knowledge, cultures, and experiences while working together outdoors.
By hosting, we hope to give people a genuine look at life on a working orchard and small rural business. WWOOFers can experience the rhythm of the seasons, learn about minimal-intervention farming, and see how apples are grown and turned into cider. In return, we enjoy the energy, ideas, and different perspectives that visitors bring to the farm.
Our goal is to create a relaxed, friendly environment where people can learn practical skills, enjoy the countryside, and be part of a small family-run farm for a while.

Organic/Biological methods we use
At Daylesford Cider we follow a minimal-intervention, organic approach to farming that focuses on building healthy soils and resilient trees. Our orchards are managed using natural methods such as composting, organic compost applications, mulching, and green mulching to improve soil structure, retain moisture, and support beneficial soil biology. By working with natural cycles rather than relying on heavy inputs, we aim to grow healthy apples that reflect the character of the land and produce ciders with genuine orchard expression. Our philosophy is simple: care for the soil, support biodiversity, and let the fruit speak for itself.
