Short Property Description
We live in the hills of Perth Western Australia on 7 acres of land. It has been set up as semi of grid. We work full time, I work in Mental Health and hubby is a fly in fly out miner so not home all that much 🙁
We have plenty of animals we take care of, these include horse, dogs, chooks and bees. Part of our love is to work the bee hives up to about 80 of them. We sell our honey to family, friends and markets, also I make a lot of by products from the honey and wax such as candles, wax wraps, melts and we also do infused honey for health benefits. Our community of bee keepers are very helpful but always needing an extra hand with the hives.
My local community we share our extra crops we have with fruits, eggs and what other things we have an abundance off. I am in our local CWA Country Women’s Association where we volunteer out time helping out others by raising funds for different groups or schools and I’m also a member of our local Community support group, where help address concerns in our community like clean up Australia, planting trees to writing letters to the local council of road conditions or fallen trees.
I have three horses that I help teach others to ride and also those with disabilities. I have 6 Labrador dogs which are also I breed as another side line business (I am a registered breeder), and use them in my pet therapy groups or one to one with those with disabilities or PTSD.
I have a two rooms one queen size and the other with tow single beds in with a shared bathroom and you have a beautiful deck over seeing the rustic bushland that we are surrounded by, you can see the local wild life of kangaroos, birds, bandicoots and others. Others that share the house are and my step son who works full time.
There is a indoor heated swimming pool for use too.
Our property is very quiet and well set of the road so no disturbances there- maybe the cockatoos (local birds) may wake you up.
I hope this is a short summary of mine and hubby’s life.

Why I became a WWOOF Host
I have thought about this a long time now, but never had a room that I was happy for others to use, now I have just finished renovating the room for use. I have a property that needs an extra set of hands in which I’m in desperate need of for some help, and the fact that I am in a position to do this now.
What I would like to hope for with having this opportunity is to be able to meet others with like minded interest and / or willing to learn about what we do. We would like to teach others about bees and keeping of bees. The breeding of dogs and helping others out in our community.
I have travelled a lot around in the past and love learning more about other countries, religions, cultures and people in general. I welcome either male/female as single or couples that are willing to give us a go too. I would prefer non-smokers as we live in the forested area. No drugs allowed.
