Alberi Alto is a 50 acre bush block in New Italy, Northern Rivers, NSW. We incorporate sustainable farming practices into future-focussed management and development. As well as native bush, we have free-ranging hens, guinea fowl and ducks.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

My husband and I are retired and have a 50 acre bush block. We would love to provide opportunities for young people to experience a part of ‘real’ Australia (kangaroos at the gate, birds letting us know when to wake up and when to go to bed). We’d be making new friends and have someone else to talk to (usually it’s just the two of us here). We’d love to hear about different places and experiences that our ‘new’ friends would bring. There always seems to be something to do on the property so we’d be providing lots of different experiences.

Organic/Biological methods we use

As far as the bush is concerned, we check it regularly to ensure fire hazards are kept monitored. We sustainably manage the regrowth.

We are currently establishing a house garden area (organic vegetables).
