Argyle Australian Saffron
We are on a 10 acre property just outside beautiful Orange New South Wales, where we run a Saffron farm. We have a large, modern, house, where you would have your own bedroom and bathroom. We have two children, two dogs, and a cat, as well as chickens and bees.
Angela loves to cook, so you will enjoy great, diverse meals while you are with us, and we welcome people to also cook if that’s something they enjoy!

Why I became a WWOOF Host

We absolutely love welcoming travelers to our farm! As travelers ourselves in our younger days, we understand that special energy and sense of adventure that comes with exploring new places. There’s something wonderful about sharing our little corner of Australia with people from around the world who are on their own journeys. We cherish the opportunity to support their travels while they help us with the farm work.
Having workers stay with us has been an incredible gift for our young children. They get to meet people from different cultures, hear new languages, try different foods, and learn that the world is so much bigger than our small rural community. These experiences are priceless – our girls are growing up with open minds and genuine curiosity about the world beyond Orange.
What we’ve found time and time again is that workers who plan to stay for a few weeks often end up extending their time with us. It’s become a running joke! The connections we make are real, and the experience is genuinely enriching for everyone involved. We’re not just offering farm work – we’re offering a true Australian farm and family experience, complete with home-cooked meals, country hospitality, and the chance to be part of our daily life. We get just as much out of these experiences as our workers do, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Organic/Biological methods we use

As a Saffron farm, we use every part of the product we produce including the petals of the Saffron flower which not many producers utilise. We use only natural, organic additives into our soil, and undertake most of our planting and harvest by hand, minimising our carbon footprint through minimal use of machinery.
