City/Town: Inverloch
Farming Methods: Organic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home
We have a beautiful 40 acre horse agistment property, veggie garden & fruit trees and approx. 5 acres bush. 3 min drive to surf beach, bay beach & Inverloch town or 10 min drive to Wonthaggi, a larger town. Push bikes available. We are very interested in living a sustainable lifestyle and hope that our WWOOFers are also interested in living sustainably and learning, and sharing knowledge of this. There are almost always wallabies at our farm and if you are lucky you may see kangaroos, echidnas, wombats & occasional koalas. Work may include harvesting, food collection, composting, mulching, hay carting, weeding, fencing, planting, food preservation.  Sometimes there is some work caring for horses: often all the work is in the garden and paddock maintenance, as the horses are mainly looked after by their owners. Accommodation for up to 3 in our home, although we usually prefer 2. Shared meals, cook together. We eat a healthy, sustainable diet.  Bron is vegan and while Ray eats everything, many meals are vegan or vegetarian.  Vegetarians & vegans catered for.  No children, no smoking, all stays negotiable on application. Please let us know your available dates when you apply and the length of time that you would like to WWOOF here. (1 to 2 weeks preferred).

Banksia Park is our home & a 100 acre bush property in Kangaroo Valley, with 6 self contained cottages & 750 Olive tree Grove. Kangaroos, wombats & wallabies plentiful. Work includes general yard work, feeding pet animals, spreading organic fertiliser, pruning in the olive grove, tending our vegetable garden. Non-smokers only. We can accommodate 2 WWOOFers at any time in our self-contained cabin. We prefer 2-4 weeks stay. Cannot take WWOOFers Xmas public holidays. There are places in Kangaroo Valley where you can stand, turn 360°, and see the hills and the escarpment on every side. It is reputedly one of only seven enclosed valleys in the world. Visitors who travel to the area tend to picnic beside the Kangaroo River, walk across the historic Hampden Suspension Bridge, hire canoes and explore the Kangaroo River and visit the craft shops, coffee lounges and tea rooms in the village. The area is also known for its excellent bushwalking.

City/Town: Broken Head
Farming Methods: Permaculture
Accommodation Type: In Our Home, Separate Building
We are part of an intentional community 5km from Broken Head beach and less than 10km from Byron Bay. There are 11 houses spread over 40 hectares and since our beginnings nearly 25 years ago, our main aim has been to re-establish rainforest on what was bare farmland. There are now over 200 different species of bird and animal life, which have been attracted by the new habitat. Native animals such as wallabies, echidnas, goannas, and a huge variety of birds are regular visitors. Our house has been built over the last couple of years with a sustainable focus - it's completely off grid and gradually becoming self sufficient as vegetable gardens and orchard begin to mature. Our main projects at the moment involve finishing the house, establishing and maintaining gardens and building a space for chickens, so there are always plenty to do.

Turtle Rock is a 2.5 acre property with 200 m Coomera River frontage. Platypus and turtles are in the river...and it's a great place for a cooling swim. Wallabies are seen everyday munching on the grass. Many native birds seen each day. I have been here 2.5 years and am in the early stages of re-establishing raised garden beds where organic vegies can be grown that can be taken to my daughter and son's families each week. We pump water directly from the river. I have 5 free ranging chooks so plenty of lovely fresh eggs always on hand. It's an architecturally designed 4 bedroom house with polished wooden floors throughout. Local town is Canungra which is 20m drive. Gold Coast beaches are about 45 min away. Local market at Nerang on Sundays and a couple of good organic suppliers there...always an enjoyable visit.

Rewilding chemical free small 10acres, rehabilitation ongoing farm, veges, bees bamboo, native fruits and some exotics. Previous wwoofers helped establish forests plantings and garden, chickens and ducks. then we went away for 10 years for remote health care practice and social research. now we are back! The trees are much bigger, the bamboo is harvest-able, there's much to be done reestablishing the garden and creating more for the returned and returning local wildlife, koala, bandicoots, wallabies, gliders, possums, echidnas, frogs, snakes and goannas, many many birds and all sorts. we were all living in the train, now we have a house and the train still is a great place to stay, and the train is always in need of some TLC like all 101 year old characters. We are 10 acres, about 1 acre under zone 0 and zone 1; yes, big permi principles in our design and thinking is ongoing. we work in health care and social research, violence prevention, gender environment and marginalised voice equality raising. we would love to share our space with some wwoofer helpers again. so many things to do.... mary river festival organising involvement, even

Our 24 ha Certified Organic farm is located under the Snowy Range in the beautiful Huon Valley. We have a large productive farm, but our current main crop is a very productive blueberry orchard. Whilst we don't have much in the way of livestock, we do have a few chickens who require daily care & we also have a working sled dog kennel with 28 Siberian Huskies. The sled dog side of our farm is predominately operated during the winter months when it is cold enough for the dogs to run, but each day year round there are many jobs required that involve the dogs including feeding, cleaning yards, and assistance dog handling when we are conducting our eco tours. We have purpose built trails on our property to run our tours, and we are often out exploring the natural bushland around our home so WWOOFers must have a genuine interest & love for dogs. Spare time activities include swimming, hiking, cycling, reading, baking & most importantly having a good time. A sense of humour is essential. Comfortable accommodation provided in caravans or BYO tents. No children. Mixed diet, No smoking indoors. Min stay 1 week, long stays encouraged. Can P/U in Huonville.
