Nestled in the very pretty Valley of a Thousand Hills. It is 200 acres & we run a small herd of beef breeding cattle: Black Angus. There are also 450 olive trees which are harvested annually for virgin olive oil and chickens for eggs. There is a small fruit & nut orchard and a vegie garden. Work can consist of assisting with general cattle management, feeding etc. Working in olive grove, harvesting olives, cutting grass etc. Working in vegie garden, feeding chooks & cleaning out pen, ride on mowing, wood collection & maybe some tractor work. Accom for 1 within our home. Shared meals, mixed diet. NSI. Initial stay 6-10 days, then neg.

We are a couple with two children ages 3 and 14. We run a small mixed farm within a community with houses currently under construction (30 in total) called Shepherds Ground. We work the land using bio dynamic preparations as much as possible and we are in the process of increasing our holistic land management approach to the land in the management of livestock. We run about 15 cattle, 30 sheep, 30 laying hens. We also have ducks, and bees for honey. We produce small scale commercial garlic and run a kitchen garden with mixed vegetables. We have places for willing workers to do a mix of farm work including fencing, building, animal care, garden bed preparation, planting and harvesting garlic, processing garlic, compost building and other farm work. Nourishing shared midday meals with the meat and vegetable components mostly from our farm. Other times food is provided to you to prepare in the shared kitchen, we only accommodate vegetarian but no other specialised diets. Accommodation is either covered tent area or a room in the farm house. Initial stay is 2 days, if this works out then a minimum of 2 weeks stay. We are 50 minutes drive or train ride from the beach in Newcastle city. We are also close to the vineyard area, the Port Stephens coast, national parks etc. Our property adjoins large expanses of Australian forest. There are a maximum of opportunities for experiencing the Australian nature as well as farm and community life.

125 acres with 20 acres planted with 3000 olive trees in fairly remote location with closest shop 64 km round trip. We produce olive oil, table olives & a natural skin care range. We have a fully renovated 5 bedroom house with numerous sheds & a commercial kitchen.  Jobs include pruning, de-suckering, olive picking, some tractor work for suitable person, reticulation maintenance, fire protection, packaging & labeling of products & general property maint. We are devout dog lovers & have a border collie, so please do not apply if you do not like dogs. Shared meals, mixed diet. No children. Initial stays 3-5 days, prefer 2 weeks, longer stays neg. Rivertree Organics grass-fed cattle farm, 15 kms east of Stanthorpe. We take pride in raising Certified Organic beef. We have 200 black Angus cattle. We also have a large vegetable garden, raise organic pigs & chickens. WWOOFers live in their own sleeping quarters with TV & internet, sharing most meals with family. Over the years we have Hosted WWOOFers from all over the world. Life on our farm is part work, part education and sharing of music, cooking & country life. We manage our cattle on a cell grazing system - WWOOFers help move the cattle everyday. There's also work in the vegie garden and improving soil in the paddocks. Some tractor work - we'll teach you how to operate a tractor! Internships for those wanting to seriously raise organic cattle. Non-smokers only. No children or pets.
