Amberly is a 250 acre, family run cattle and free-range egg farm close to the Murrumbidgee River and conveniently located in the suburbs just 20 minutes from the centre of Canberra. 1500 unfenced chickens are free to range at will, protected by three beautiful Maremma guardian dogs. We have a large vegetable garden, a recently established mixed orchard, ducks and bees for family use. We also have a house cow Tilly and plenty of milk to make yogurt, butter and cheese. We firmly believe that sustainable farming means looking after the environment as the first priority. We have recently been received a national award from Landcare Australia for Innovation in Agriculature and Land Management. Work includes fencing, weeding, mowing, gardening, landscaping and working with the farm animals. Longer stays often see wwoofers learning new skills by getting involved in projects where we are building new infrastructure on the farm. Accomodation in our passive solar straw-bale house.

Hi there lovely travellers! Sam (37) Clara (31) and Reilly (1.5) here. While Reilly was just a twinkle our eyes, Clara and I spent 4.5 years travelling Australia in our awesome veggie oil-powered Landcruiser, searching for the most beautiful spots to set up camp and call home for a week or two. After our first 3 month tour of Tasmania, we just fell in love with the place, returning every summer for more of the same. Somehow we just knew we'd end up here. As we travelled, we gained a real appreciation for simple living and developed a taste for the best organic local food sourced from farmers markets as we went. This just helped fuel the dream of a beautiful camp to set up in permanently, and do our best at living a low impact, natural, self-sufficient, homesteading lifestyle. When 6 months pregnant, out of the blue, the bank of Dad called up and offered a loan to help make our dream come true. And we‘ve always dreamed big.

I love mountain biking and bike touring. I've done part of the Munda Biddi trail (which I'm volunteering for at the moment) and I rode the Mawson trail in South Australia from Adelaide to the Flinders Ranges with my girlfriend. I love being in Nature and the remote areas of Australia. in 2019, I've organised 2 expedition trips by 4WD in the Simpson desert in Central Australia and in the Channel Country in Queensland along the Diamantina River. I like water sport and currently practicing Rugby Under Water (yes this is a sport!!!! and I can tell you a bit more about it when we meet). I like to get involved somehow in improving our food system in Australia, ultimately to deliver healthier food for people and restore our soil. There are so many things to fix from food production to food distribution and consumption... I want to start learning and helping on the field and where food production happens... this is why I am woofing.

Levenvale is an original old dairy farm of the Bellingen district.  We purchased it from a family who had owned it for 130 years over 3 generations.  It was tired and needed some new life.  We took on the project in June 2019, to renovate, reinvigorate, reinvent (from dairy to beef) and regenerate.  It is organically certified (in conversion) and consists of 300 acres of lush green pasture, 200 acres of beautiful rainforest (& trails) surrounded by amazing mountain scenery (for coastal NSW terms).  5km to town, 20km to the beach, 30km to Coffs Harbour. We are a husband and wife and have 3 small children and travelling abroad has always been a big part of our lives. We hope by opening our home to WWOOFers we will make some friendships and get some help with the conversion project we have ahead of us!

I'm wanting to really get solid in my gardening, growing and farming skills. My goal is to live with friends on land and grow food. My next step towards that is to upgrade my skills and the best way to do that is through experience. I have some practice and familiarity with gardening and looking after animals but there's lots i'm eager to learn and help with.

Organic-certified and biodynamic-certified hazelnut farm just five minutes outside of Sheffield, Tasmania. We welcome WWOOFers (single or couple) all year round, but particularly during our harvest period (mid-March to end of April). We especially welcome people who have an enthusiasm for growing things and/or caring for animals. If you also have experience that is a great bonus! (but not necessary). Our family consists of Greg and Elizabeth, a friendly but sometimes jumpy big dog, three cats, and about 25 cows. The farm is peaceful and picturesque, and has wonderful mountain views.

19 ha Certified Organic farm with 4ha cleared and the rest natural bushland. Unfortunately 75% of the bushland and some pasture was burnt in the 2019 bushfire. As such we are again to be able to sign off on 2nd year Visa extension due to this disaster. Garlic was the main crop, with a fruit orchard & vegetables all in the rebuilding process. We aim to make as many foods as possible from what we grow. Vegetarian & Vegan foods are the norm as no animal meat is consumed, except by the dog. We only have sheep and a kelpie working dog that loves to play too. Other work includes crop bed building, GFM, gardening, mowing, mulching, watering, and much much more due to the bushfire disaster. The house, sheds and buildings were luckily spare by the hardworking people who assisted in saving the property! WWOOFers must be well presented with healthy habits. Accom for 1 person or couple in our guest room. Shared meals, all cook together if you like. Vegetarian / vegan diet only. Mature age WWOOFers welcome. No smoking. I joined WWOOF as I am looking for a new experience, learn new things and hopefully have a look into the Australian life. As I dont want to use my 3rd WHV yet and dont want to go home now because of Covid, I’ll apply for a tourist-visa. As I have time enough but want to spend my time here usefully, I would like to do some voluntering to get new experiences and help you out with an extra set of hands.
