We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angus river running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable garden with free-roaming bantams, big-layer hens, flower beds and lawns, as well as  2 goats on paddocks.  I run a sustainable architecture & building consulting business from home and we offer holiday accommodation . Help is always needed in the garden & paddock, picking berries & apples, looking after animals, weed control, making firewood, compost, cleaning up sheds & around the place, sometimes on a sustainable building site. We live 45min by car from Adelaide, 45min from safe swimming beaches & 45min from the surf, so we are pretty central. Accom for 2 in separate stone cottage & own room in the main building. All share in home cooked evening meal. Mixed diet. No smokers please. Longer stays (min 3 weeks) preferred after initial few days. Use of a car possible for the right person. Please contact us via email only.

My husband and I live with our 4 teenage children, on 25acres in Burbank, (25 min from Brisbane City). I run two small businesses from home, organic food boxes and (equine assisted learning) an experiential horse program (providing mindfulness and life skills for youth and adults). Our organic market garden is small scale; 20m2 and a 120m food forest. We have a fertigation pump - so use alot of biodynamic principals, adding minerals to our water to build our soil and grow nutrient-dense food. Our main growing season is from March to November. We then seed green crops over the 3 months of summer . Our horse facilities include an arena and 3 irrigated grass paddocks. Our family of animals are ; 4 horses, 3 dogs, 15 chickens, one hive of bees and a large worm farm. Your job description would be to help me with all my daily jobs - weeding, gardening and bush regeneration, fence maintenance and managing water erosion, managing the market garden -preparing beds, sowing, growing, harvesting, packing weekly produce, animal care and feeding, meal prepping for ourselves, cleaning our own spaces. We work together as a team, learning and supporting each other as we go. Your accommodation is separate, 100m from our family home, it is a shed with transportable bedrooms, with a kitchen, bathroom and airconditioner (we recently lived in the shed for 18months as we were renovating our home). It is a fun way to experience living in the bush whilst being close to the city. We work 5 days, (25hrs/wk) Monday to Friday and have weekends off.

Can't think of anything more fun ! Am very fit, don't mind hard work and like your system of work for accomodation. I believe the future needs people to be able to grow their own food, manage animals in their own back yards or small spaces as well as big farms. I also enjoy the company of others who love to help and are looking for a learning experience through organic farming.

Skills I Want to Learn: Organic Practices, Permaculture/Biodynamics, Gardening, Pruning, Propagating, Composting, Soil conservation, Biodynamics practices and techniques, Animal Care, Mustering, Beekeeping, Worm farming, Natural building methods, Handyman, Dairy, Cheese making, Preserving food, Wild food foraging, Fermenting food, Bread Making, Wine making
I think WWOOF is a good way to make yourself useful and get to know about permaculture, local life, people and the country at the same time. I got very much interested into permaculture during my first WWOOF stay and I would be happy to start my own veggie/fruit garden when I get back home.

I always heard about Wwoofing but I never considered to join it, until Covid came and I realised that I need to find a place where spend some time before that the travelling will be allowed. I have a strong relationship with the nature and I've always been charmed by farming and living in close contact with the nature. I am looking for some very passioned farmers that can explain me their job and teach me a lot of things. I think that farming is a very tough job and only if you are a passionate farmer you can deal with the long hours, the stress and all the accidents that can occur in a normal day in a farm. I think that most of the farmers of WWOOF are passionate farmer and that's why I joined WWOOF
