In February I will graduate and in March I will move to Australia. It has been a dream for too many years and at the end I decided to book a one-way ticket to Perth. I will stay there for a year ( I hope) and would like to live as many new experiences as possible. The only thing I know is that I want to live my life to the utmost and do not want to have any regrets. Since the moment I realized that, I decided I wanted a brand-new start, so here I am!

We are gradually restoring a neglected farm, a beautiful 180 acres bordering NP and close to beaches. Low-tech hard work & BD preparations are slowly producing results on our pastures. Our animals are part of the family - Josephine the milking cow, a small beef herd, chooks, ducks & sometimes pigs. Our vegie garden is established, the orchard in the making. Most of our food is produced on the farm, but fishing trips supplement our diet, which is meaty, tasty & healthy. Work incl work in pastures, weeding, raking, fencing, help in vegie garden & orchard, feeding animals and building projects. Own transport preferable to take advantage of the beautiful surrounding area. Caravan accom for a single or a couple. No children. Meat-based meals. Non-smokers only. Negotiable stays after first few days. Cannot take WWOOFers during winter.

I've joined WWOOF because I want to travel to other countries and really get to know different cultures, and I also want to improve my English. I love nature and animals and I would like to learn more about animal care (especially about animals that aren't common in Italy), but I also like agriculture and cooking.

I’m joining WWOOF because I’m interested in finding farms where I could volunteer during my next “chapter” in Australia. I enjoy learning new techniques for farming or even Permaculture principles. Every farm has a different vibe and there is always something new to learn from other people.

I first heard of WWOOF from a friend about a year ago. He told us his whole trip and experience while volunteering in Germany. After he finished, I felt excited immediately and he actually told me that if I had the opportunity I should do the same thing and join WWOOF, that I could go almost anywhere I wanted. At that time I was still a student, so I thought about it only. Now that I graduated from high school, my friends where applying for colleges and hoping for the best; instead I was just happy that I could take things slow and decide whatever is best for me right now (which is going to Australia :)) I am joining WWOOF because I think is an amazing way to learn all about farming, which I'm excited to learn because I myself have a special connection with a place in my hometown, that is in the countryside and I remember it with emotion. But it is also a great opportunity to learn of other cultures and to be tolerant with people different from you (which I think is what the world needs right now). In addition, everything you learn in trips like these is experience that you just don’t get in any school, neither Harvard nor Oxford. I hope that by doing this I get to learn all the things I mentioned above, and of course I have expectations of my own but I think what I can really experience by wwoofing is going to surpass my expectations

We joined as we want to be in nature and help wherever we can to your household and livelihood especially in these difficult times. Francesco finishes his contract in June and we would love the opportunity to live on a farm with people where we can work as a community. I'm a city girl and I was hoping this would give me a insight into the idea of living on the land and practices of organic farming & learning about animals. We all want to reduce our footprint on this world and sustainability & learning new skills is crucial. I'd love to share and learn these experiences with my daughter. We were hoping that we could start woofing on weekends and if we work well together we could help on more long term basis. We are currently very flexible. We value time, working hard and building meaningful relationships with the hosts. Francesco and Maia speak fluent Italian and happy to teach. We also love cooking.

Our project is to settle down in France next year; reaching our thirties it is time for us to find our home. We want to create a micro farm mainly based on Permaculture principles. We will build or refurbish the house as a passive solar home, produce most of our food (fruits, veggies, bread, cheese, poultry, cheese and eggs) and tend to self-sufficiently energy wise. Other activities will be proposed to spread the income and be able to live according to our values. We would like to propose a Tables d'hôtes, master classes of cuisine, transformation of raw products as ready meals for elderlies and possibly work with the local school. Recreate community link and exchange is important for us, we want children and the individualistic society we live in isn't proposing a good futur for them , capitalism has destroy most of our natural ressources and old knowledge about our cooperation with nature has disappeared, forgotten. Nothing at a big scale is done to change that fate. Therefore we want to go and volunteer in farms proposing the same concept/ideology/lifestyle to see how people do and learn from them. We need to gather experiences to be able to see how it works on a daily bases and this will help us plan how to tackle the organisation of the project once back in France.

I joined WWOOF because I've never had the opportunity to volunteer or work in a farm, and I'd like to try. I'd like to work in the outdoors, surrounded by nature and animals. I grew up in a small town in the countryside, so I'm used to that kind of life and it would be great to see places I wouldn't see otherwise.
