It’s a safe way meet the people I enjoy meeting. I love travelling but not into the drinking partying life style that gets portrayed as backpacking. I want to learn and enrich my life with people and skill I learn and stories I can tell.

We are on a 100 yr old Apple Orchard in the stunning Blue Mountains. We have 8000 trees and 80 different varieties of apples. We have also just started doing weddings and have one airbnb accommodation. I would explain our place as more of a boutique orchard. We are a small family run business. My husband Sam has been doing all the work himself but it's all getting a bit too much so we need some extra hands to help out. It's a stunning little spot with the iconic blue mountains escarpment views off the back of the property. Along with the apples we have 30 chickens, 2 Alpacas, 6 sheep and one Maremma dog. We are a friendly and warm family who are keen to get a helping hand.

I have joined wwoof to meet the people who are interested in me and my journey round Australia as much as I am interested in their story. What has bought you to this point? I believe that travel should not just be for the wealthy and see the woof scheme as a great facilitator in dispanding that myth. I believe that the scheme is about good experiences and interactions not just cheap labour. I will work hard but only if I think the attitude and outlook of the host is viewed as a reciprocal and fair exchange. happy to work 5 hours a day on average with days off to enjoy the local area and surroundings. But the work must be varied and interesting, that being said I do know the nature of a fair days work as have worked hard my whole life. I am happy to undertake tree work this would be at a reduced rate, but enough to cover my skill set and maintenance of my gear. If this is of interest let me know.

In difficult times like this I know that a lot of help is needed in areas normally relying on casual workers and backpackers. I would like to support regional farmers as much as I can. I very flexible with the hours, can be evenings and weekends too. Ideally ,we find a way where besides helping you I can also keep working on my PhD thesis for a few hours per day. I have done WWOOFing before in TAS and QLD in 2012. Loved it! My most favourite part was to be included in daily life and routines, and getting to know the family and local communities. I am still in touch with some of my hosts from back then 🙂

Skills I Want to Learn:
My brother worked on woofing farms some years ago and he told me alot about it. For example that he experienced many amazing adventures, he never got bored and he was mostly all the time working in the nature. So i think its a pretty good chance for me. I want to go to Australia because i would like to learn much about the Country, seeing different amazing places, sightseeings and so on. I like to meet new people and cultures. I would like to help and join a family or a team, have fun with them and being a part of a little community. I am receptive to learn new things and experiences. Jobs with animals are my favorites. Horses are a huge part of my life since my sixth year of life. I really know what it means to work hard with motivation and endurance. I think WWOOF is the best opportunity to experience Australia and to adapt different things. Also i would like to upgrade my english skills and find some new Friends in Australia. So i think WWOOF is the perfect adventure for me and can help me to find places where i can stay during my time in Australia starting in Melbourne.

It's been 3 months since I arrived in Australia, I'm on the Gold Coast and I've been working as a cleaner since I arrived. But I would like to see something else, really share with Australians. I don't know if you're aware of it but there are a lot of Caledonians on the Gold Coast so finally since I arrived I've been seeing the same people I was seeing in New Caledonia and nothing has really changed except that I have to order in English at the restaurant. So I want to learn more about this country, changing places, talking with locals and giving my work force if I can too.

Levenvale is an original old dairy farm of the Bellingen district.  We purchased it from a family who had owned it for 130 years over 3 generations.  It was tired and needed some new life.  We took on the project in June 2019, to renovate, reinvigorate, reinvent (from dairy to beef) and regenerate.  It is organically certified (in conversion) and consists of 300 acres of lush green pasture, 200 acres of beautiful rainforest (& trails) surrounded by amazing mountain scenery (for coastal NSW terms).  5km to town, 20km to the beach, 30km to Coffs Harbour. We are a husband and wife and have 3 small children and travelling abroad has always been a big part of our lives. We hope by opening our home to WWOOFers we will make some friendships and get some help with the conversion project we have ahead of us!

We have a couple of friends and even the french counsel who recommended WWOOF. It is for us an amazing experience to know about the Australian culture and the way of doing. After the horrible fires here in Australia we thought that may be was a good idea to help the farmers. The other reason is that we grew up in a very small village so it will be quite familiar to be on a farm. We know a bit about farming. For example I worked for over a month in a farm, driving a tractor by plowing the land and my sister worked a couple of weeks in a stable where she needed to ride all the horses, feeding them mornings and evenings and cleaning their boxes. To conclude, we are both in love with nature and are both very helpful! We hope that this experience will enrich us thanks to WWOOF. Thank you 🙂

We joined WWOOF because each and every life style and environment has something to teach! We like the contact with others that WWOOFing allows, discovering through families or individuals with their own culture and habits ; as we could share some of ours with you as well, if you are interested of course! Through our different experiences and depending on the kind of farm you run, we would be very interested to know more about permaculture and organic gardens. We hope to offer you our help with the tasks you would need us to do, such as taking care of the animals if you have some, doing the garden, or anything related with the farm. As every farm has its own needs, we will be glad learning from you, to get the tasks done the best we can! We believe in a society where exchanges of services without money transaction, based on trust and humanity, would be common, and this is what WWOOF represent. So we are looking forward to begin this adventure.
