We have a small 15 acre hobby farm with direct access to the beautiful Huon River. We've recently started our setup and looking forward to having a self sustaining life in our semi retirement. There are loads of different jobs that need to be done.

I’ve joined wwoof to volunteer in NSW at Shepherds grounds farm & village in Butterwick. To experience a new way of living & benefiting by contributing in a community, while learning new ways. I would love to experience how a healthy organic diet can change & help a individuals body mind & soul. I strongly believe an organic healthy lifestyle is the answer to wellness.

We have a beautiful 40 acre horse agistment property, veggie garden & fruit trees and approx. 5 acres bush. 3 min drive to surf beach, bay beach & Inverloch town or 10 min drive to Wonthaggi, a larger town. Push bikes available. We are very interested in living a sustainable lifestyle and hope that our wwoofers are also interested in living sustainably and learning, and sharing knowledge of this. There are almost always wallabies at our farm and if you are lucky you may see kangaroos, echidnas, wombats & occasional koalas. Work may include harvesting, food collection, composting, mulching, hay carting, weeding, fencing, planting, food preservation.  Sometimes there is some work caring for horses: often all the work is in the garden and paddock maintenance, as the horses are mainly looked after by their owners.  Accom for up to 3 in our home, although we usually prefer 2. Shared meals, cook together. We eat a healthy, sustainable diet.  Bron is vegan and while Ray eats everything, many meals are vegan or vegetarian.  Vegetarians & vegans catered for.  No children, no smoking, all stays negotiable on application. Please let us know your available dates when you apply and the length of time that you would like to wwoof here. (1 to 2 weeks preferred).

I decided to join WWOOF to be able to learn about sustainable agriculture methods such as permaculture in order to practice them myself later and to experience a community lifestyle. I truly believe that our society needs to learn from nature and to apply more sustainable methods to operate in the long term.

Skills I Want to Learn:
Having grown up in big cities, I always wanted to work on a farm to get close to nature. Some of my friends who have volunteered with WWOOF before had an amazing time in Australia. And I’d love to have a similar experience before heading off to graduate school in October.

I join this woofing website because of the interest it brings and the fact we can help farmers who need strong and nice peoples. The idea to help the farmers in exchange of accommodation is stunning. And I believe that with WWOOF I'll find the perfect farm to work and share with

We are both on our gap years and have just spent the last three months on an adventure guide program in and around Queenstown, New Zealand training to become rock climbing and hiking guides. Following that adventure, we are looking to travel and learn as many new skills as we can over the next year! We would absolutely love to learn more about permaculture and sustainable/organic farming and so WOOFING seemed like the perfect chance to do so. We are also very firm believers in giving back to the community we're living in, supporting small local businesses and reducing our environmental impact.

Dolly's Run is small scale market garden where you will be helping out and learning on a simple rural property on the Mid-North Coast of NSW. Our passion is for good food, the environment, self-sufficiency and a healthy lifestyle, which inspires us to farm sustainably, grow, harvest and supply top quality chemical-free produce to local cafes and farmers markets. Our household consists of just the two of us, Matt and Nicole, and our dog, Dolly, and cat, Ari. We are committed to farming according to the Australian Organic Standard and are currently working on the paperwork, applying for Certification. On the farm you will help out in the market garden with all related tasks such as weeding, mulching, bed preparation, garden maintenance, planting, trellising, picking and packing for market. Other jobs around the property could include mowing, edging, watering. You can also choose whether you wish to help out with other tasks, such as with the cattle (a small herd of 7 heifers, 1 cow, 1 steer, 1 calf), bees (2 hives), and chickens (3 chickens) which are all part of our holistic farming system. Your accommodation is is a caravan located close to our house. The toilet and shower are inside the main house. The caravan has power, and a fridge. Good 4G phone reception. We are located 30km from town (Macksville). We are also 40km from beaches (Nambucca and Scotts Head) and 1 hour from the beautiful town of Bellingen.

We live at the meeting place of two rivers, the Goobarragandra and the peak, backing onto Kosciuszko nation park. We WWOOFed all through Europe, the middle east and Africa, and now we finally have a farm of our own to share with others. Welcome. I have 20 acres, 5 chickens, 2 children and 1 wife. We love permaculture and living a holistically healthy life. I work part time in town, and full time on the farm making it a beautiful place for people to visit. Aside from the work we do on the farm, we run a part time circus, circus classes, bnb, retreats and camps. We love people to be able to join in with lots of different activities when they join us, using existing skills, and building new ones.

I share my 1 acre permaculture garden and structures with my partner Rob, guests and abundant wildlife. If you are interested in permaculture, deep ecology, organics, transition towns, creative building, bamboo, healthy lifestyles, ethical businesses and inner work-  healing of Earth and people - you may like to contact me. I am a long term permaculture and social permaculture educator and facilitator and also train teachers, facilitators and group leaders from any industry in creative facilitation and interactive learning methods as well as offering ceremony and empowerment workshops for women, co-gender & community groups. I have written and self-published 3 books and run a small business to weave all this together. As well as gardening work I often need support in my office and with general domestics and food processing from the garden, building & landscaping. Creative & joyous endeavours are common. Vegetarian meals and garden forage, with basic accommodation indoors.
