We live 45 km from Perth, 20mn walking distance from the Chidlow Post Office, the bus stop, forests & lake Leschenaultia. In the last 20 + years, we have  developed our hobby farm: built a solar-passive straw-bale home, established an extensive garden  as well as grown three children, home-schooled with the help of WWOOFers!!! They are now young adults, two of which still live at home. With our daughters, we grow vegetables, flowers, herbs & fruit trees. We have a horse, 3 cows, 5 goats, 2 sheep, chickens, ducks, 4 bee hives & lots of visiting birds. Work includes general hobby-farming, gardening, and maintenance jobs, with occasionally some more skillful work such as rock wall building or else, checking bees/ extracting honey etc... Accommodation is in annex for 1 – 2 non-smoking WWOOFers. We cook only vegetarian meals, mostly organic, shared with the family, although we can accommodate vegan and gluten free diets. We also speak French at home,  we love playing traditional folk music, classical or old 60's songs, singing, bush-walking, we're also interested in art & craft, travel, health, spirituality and philosophy, fun, and good food. most hot days, we'll end at the lake for a cool down swim!

I joined WWOOF because I'm wanting to learn more about organic farming - particularly permaculture, as well as contribute to a different community in Australia other than my hometown of Canberra. I’m resolved to centre my life around producing food; to become community-sufficient. I can see myself living on a small block of land, cultivating a food forest to produce food for my community members in exchange for other items or services, or for free for people who are in need. Organic farming/permaculture overlaps with many of my great passions: being outside, producing healthy food and healing the environment. I’ve grown up around people with productive food spaces in their suburban backyards, and since a young age, I have cultivated the backyard of my family home. But I know I still have much to learn. Coupled with this is my hankering to move out of the city. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and thankfully the opportunity has recently emerged. I would be extremely grateful for a space to contribute to and learn from. I think I would find it extremely replenishing and inspiring.

I don't love living full time in the city. I've always known about WWOOFing and have wanted to join, so here I am. I do not have room for a garden where I live at the moment and would love to spend time helping out on a property with a garden or a farm. I would love to learn about organic farming, permaculture etc. and I've had chickens in the past and love them. I prefer to learn hands on, am a quick learner and a hard worker, I also look forward to exploring and meeting new people while not working.

The property is situated in Launching Place in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. I have 42 acres and am setting up an alternate livestyle where we are looking to be more self sufficient. Welcome, we are a 4 year old permaculture farm located near Yeppoon looking for people who are keen to learn about all things permaculture and who have a passion for sustainability. Our long-term goal is to create a self-sustaining community on the farm and we have made a huge amount of progress in our first few years of set up and operation. The property includes a number of other sustainable features. We want to be clear with you that you will be joining a working farm where we are trying to create a permaculture-based business model that can actually support itself without relying on outside philanthropy. This is a huge challenge in itself and requires a lot of hard work such as weeding, mulching, prepping garden beds, digging holes & fencing but we must remember we are in the foundational stages of creating something that will last and that has already touched many people's lives. We will do our best to teach you as much as we can about Permaculture and about the different aspects of our operation as we go along as well. The position is well suited to people who want hands-on experience growing their own chemical-free food and learning how to create a dynamic eco-business model that includes tours, events, a paddock to plate restaurant and education. This is a voluntary position with the expectation of 25 hours of work a week (Monday to Friday) in exchange for: - Modern single and double rooms available with attached en-suites - Some restaurant meals provided at our nearby paddock to plate restaurant - All other meals provided with the opportunity to prepare meals directly from the garden and learn about holistic food preparation methods - Wifi provided at the resort 4 kilometres away - Access to cars, bikes, a SUP and canoes to explore the nearby area - A yoga class each week in our nearby yoga studio - Landscape to explore over the 140 acre property - Endless love from our free range animals - 2 dogs, 3 miniature horses, 4 horses, 6 sheep, 18 cows, 3 pigs, chickens and ducks with more arriving all the time - 4kms from the beach and close to and National Parks, Great Keppel Island and The Southern Great Barrier Reef Requirements for helpers staying on our beautiful farm: - A passion for plants and a desire to learn about food systems - A minimum of 5 hours of work a day (Monday-Friday) - A minimum commitment of 4 weeks - The ability to shovel, weed and move compost - The ability to share a space with others and respect the upkeep our the living quarters The property really is something special and we are uniquely positioned being only 10 minutes from town and 5 minutes to the beach. Many people come for a few weeks and end up staying for 6 months or more. Volunteers get the unique experience of what it is like living in a small community. We see ourselves as one big family on the farm. Everyone is welcome to contribute equally. We live by the permaculture ethics of land care, people care and fair share.  Wherever possible, we reduce our waste, use available resources and eat directly from the garden. We are also now offering a 6 Month (Unpaid) Internship Program that will see participants rotate around a number of different departments of our business and receive one-on-one mentoring on how to set up and run a dynamic eco-business operation. We have joined WWOOF to work and learn from people who share a similar vision for a healthy food production system. We wish to gain experience in different climates, methods and enterprises to one day contribute to this movement by establishing our own farm but currently lack the experience to do so efficiently. We have heard from people involved in WWOOF that their experiences have been positive and are highly recommended. We wish to network with community around this shared view and discover our niche and best fit to contribute our share. We are not currently committed to a particular area so it seems the best time to get out there and take advantage of the WWOOF collective of like minded people.

Having both WWOOFed in the past we wish to relight the WWOOFing fire in our lives, We are both fully aware that Farmers and their farming (no matter the scale) is no easy feat and is underlooked by mainstream people worldwide. The importance of farming and helping others, working in or creating community to get things done is important to us.

Hi, We live in a beautiful part of the world and especially now with this Covid stuff it is a very safe place to live with all the same freedoms without Gov intervention. We are always looking for WWOOFers but at the moment we are after someone or a couple who want to live here permanently. We offer free accomadation and food for someone willing to work in exchange. It would suit someone who is sick of the City and just wants to get back to the basics and live a simple healthy lifestyle. I am building a new timber bungalow in the rain forrest right now for this person as we have our own saw mill and I am a builder who loves wood work and furniture making etc. Please give us a call and we can have a chat about this .
