Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people and having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. Due to the corona virus all our booked overseas helpers had to cancel their flight to Australia. The first time in Years we might at times be without helpers at all. Some local Australian helpers, unable to go overseas are now filling the gap which is very nice as we used to have overseas helpers only before. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, a Muscovy duck, flower beds, lawns as well as two goats on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner. Bernward is semi retired but still runs a sustainable architecture and building consultancy business part time from offices attached to the home. Barbara works at the local hospital. We have been accommodating helpers since 2011  through various help exchange sites. If you want a break from travelling in a non judgmental  friendly  family environment and you are open and self-motivated, this is the place for you. This is not an action or party place but rather a place to relax and get creative with great light, & scenery for painting and photography, write and get back to nature. A big woodworking workshop invites creativity. I enjoy teaching woodworking skills to our helpers with the option to learn how to fit out campervans and tiny houses. A couple of times a week we heat up our Sauna and helpers are welcome to join. Help is always needed in the garden & paddock, picking berries & apples, looking after animals, weed control, making firewood, compost, cleaning up sheds & around the place, sometimes on a sustainable building site. We live 45min by car from Adelaide, 45min from safe swimming beaches & 45min from the surf, so we are pretty central. Accommodation  for 2 in separate stone cottage & own room in the main building. All share in home cooked evening meal. Mixed diet. No smokers please. Longer stays (min 3 weeks) preferred after initial few days. Please contact us via email only.

Accommodation Type: Separate Building
We live 45 km from Perth, 20mn walking distance from the Chidlow Post Office, the bus stop, forests & lake Leschenaultia. In the last 20 + years, we have  developed our hobby farm: built a solar-passive straw-bale home, established an extensive garden  as well as grown three children, home-schooled with the help of WWOOFers!!! They are now young adults, two of which still live at home. With our daughters, we grow vegetables, flowers, herbs & fruit trees. We have a horse, 3 cows, 5 goats, 2 sheep, chickens, ducks, 4 bee hives & lots of visiting birds. Work includes general hobby-farming, gardening, and maintenance jobs, with occasionally some more skillful work such as rock wall building or else, checking bees/ extracting honey etc... Accommodation is in annex for 1 – 2 non-smoking WWOOFers. We cook only vegetarian meals, mostly organic, shared with the family, although we can accommodate vegan and gluten free diets. We also speak French at home,  we love playing traditional folk music, classical or old 60's songs, singing, bush-walking, we're also interested in art & craft, travel, health, spirituality and philosophy, fun, and good food. most hot days, we'll end at the lake for a cool down swim!

I've just fledged my youngest child and I'm up for new adventures. WWOOF seems like a safe and fun way to be a solo traveler. As I age, I am becoming more interested in sustainability in all it's guises - food, housing, internal wellbeing. I know very little about gardening and permaculture, but I'd like to learn more. During this year of pandemic I've been delighted to grow veggies in my urban back garden. It's been a lovely creative outlet to make soup from my own ingredients. What do I hope to achieve by WWOOFing? Such an interesting question. I don't know and I'm leaning in to the discomfort of not knowing. At the very least, connection to new folk and new ideas with the opportunity to exchange my skills and ideas.

Share Island hospitality with a cool guy (me!), my famous dog Mundi and my 3 legged cat in the beautiful seaside village of American River where kangaroos and emus live behind my solar¬assisted property. Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia, southwest of Adelaide. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves, home to native wildlife like sea lions, koalas and diverse bird species. In the west, Flinders Chase National Park is known for penguin colonies and striking coastal rock formations, like the sculpted Remarkable Rocks and the stalactite-covered Admirals Arch. My aim is to provide a relaxed and fun environment where company is more important than work; learn about landscaping, small gardening, minor building projects and use of tools in a workshop, and general chores. I offer 2 guest bedrooms, pool, BBQ, gym, bike, kayaks, boogie boards (surf nearby), walks, yachting, community activities. Mixed diet. NSI. Minimum 1 week stay. BYO humour.

Welcome, we are a 4 year old permaculture farm located near Yeppoon looking for people who are keen to learn about all things permaculture and who have a passion for sustainability. The property includes a number of other sustainable features. This is a huge challenge in itself and requires a lot of hard work such as weeding, mulching, prepping garden beds, digging holes & fencing but we must remember we are in the foundational stages of creating something that will last and that has already touched many people's lives. We will do our best to teach you as much as we can about Permaculture and about the different aspects of our operation as we go along as well. The position is well suited to people who want hands-on experience growing their own chemical-free food and learning how to create a dynamic eco-business model that includes tours, events, a paddock to plate restaurant and education. Many people come for a few weeks and end up staying for 6 months or more. Volunteers get the unique experience of what it is like living in a small community. We see ourselves as one big family on the farm. Everyone is welcome to contribute equally. We live by the permaculture ethics of land care, people care and fair share.  Wherever possible, we reduce our waste, use available resources and eat directly from the garden. We are also now offering a 6 Month (Unpaid) Internship Program that will see participants rotate around a number of different departments of our business and receive one-on-one mentoring on how to set up and run a dynamic eco-business operation. I want to renew my visa and because of the corona virus it is a little difficult to find a farm that you are hiring, so they indicated the wwoof. Voluntarily contributing to a role in order to improve or grow the environment, in addition to yourself, should be very rewarding.

Midway between Rainbow Beach/Fraser Island & Noosa. Our 35 acre magic valley has a huge lake for canoeing, fishing & swimming. We have just had our house reroofed so presently have a surplus of roofing iron and have some building programs, so would love some muscle. I would like a herd of sheep made with the corrugated iron, I think that would be fun too. Rossmount is an exotic fruit farm & propagation nursery. We make volunteering interesting & fun. You will learn about fruit tree growing, harvesting, training & weeding. We like new projects & wish to enhance our remnant forest. Accommodation in large caravan, or the cabin   We are close to public transport & rail. Good food & company. Will P/U in Gympie with prior notice. The first weekend in September we participate in the Cooloola Farm Trail it involves 8 farms over a 12 km distance.  There is us, another organic farm, macadamia farm, berry farm, essential oil producer, red claw farm, coffee orchard, alpaca farm. We all have pop ups on our farms and it will be a great experience if you would like to join us.

I did lots of Wwoofing when I was in New Zealand, and it was good memory. For me, through this Wwoofing, I learn so many things. And Because it's about farming or growing things, to me, it's very interesting and fun to see. Also, I can see so many different lives, and my view gets bigger and bigger.
