Organic community living is how we are all meant to be living: growing, preparing and eating our food, in soil that we care for with people we care about. I am travelling Australia and like to get to know people and places and develop positive mutually supportive relationships and learn about land management and organic food production.

I am doing a lap of Australia and want to explore through different ways. I want to travel to gain experience on the land, learn new skills and see different lifestyles and landscapes - I am pretty keen to see where this journey could lead.

Some goals I have are to read more books, work with animals, ride horses and drive a tractor.

I'm interested in learning new practical skills and gaining on farm experience. It would be great to meet and connect with sustainable growers and producers.

I'm joining the WWOOF program to further my own skills and share what knowledge I have gained over the years. With the current global conditions I think the understanding how to grow crops in a sustainable, non harmful way is one of the most important spread of knowledge there is. My passion has always been linked to nature and my dream situation would be that I could be self sufficient either living on my own property, or as part of a homestead community.

To be active physically and mentally while learning the skills and theory of permaculture, biodynamic farming, sustainable living and producing oneself with the land around them. I hope to find inspiration and shared values around alternative, kind and meaningful living practices while also gaining perspective on where I want to be in the world. I would love to work with animals where possible. I want to get out of my student head and learn through my hands and through physical observations rather then papers in my room. I want to meet people who know how to do really cool stuff with the environment with know-how and awe.

I have joined WWOOF to learn new skills and gain experience working in a farming environment. In the longer term, I am considering moving into a regional area and focussing more on working on the land and simplifying my lifestyle. I'm interested in understanding how people can make organic farming work for them and I am keen to get involved in physical work which I enjoy.

City/Town: Noggerup
Farming Methods: Permaculture
Accommodation Type: Caravan
In the upper reaches of the beautiful Preston valley, 40 km east of Donnybrook. Thirty five year old plus Permaculture based edible landscape.  Nestled alongside the Noggerup Brook among tall trees and prolific birdlife. Quiet, shady and peaceful. Separate accomodation with couple of choices. Shops are 30 minutes away so do bring the essentials and things you can't live without if no transport. Phone signal here but not the greatest at times. Access online (satellite) via WiFi. Any questions feel free to email.

I've always been interested in farming but never really had the chance to get into it. I'm interested in crops, livestock, food, beekeeping, winemaking, and just about everything that takes place on a farm. I'm also eager to travel around Australia, especially outside of the cities. I'm especially interested in visiting Tasmania. I look forward to helping out and learning new skills on your farm, and to having a great time with awesome people. I also hope that I can be helpful to you in a time when there's not too many travelers around.

To be in nature. To gain more skills, to develop a better work life balance, to have free accommodation as rent in Sydney is putting me well below the poverty line and is completely unsustainable. I would really like to make more friends with like minded people who are peaceful, interesting, respectful, considerate, kind and loving. WWOOFing is an experience on my bucket list I have wanted to try for ages.

AMAZING opportunity to connect with like minds and learn from those more experienced. Interested in meeting anyone making serious ongoing efforts at OFF GRID and/or PERMACULTURE, and willing to share their knowledge. If you are off grid, would love to see your setup and learn how and why you did it. Interested in listening to whatever wisdom you have to share. Interested in learning ANY sort of old fashioned sufficiency skills :-).
