Skills I Want to Learn:
The reason that I join Wwoof is to learn how to grow organic vegetables, including pest control, seed collection, irrigation, and all other process involved. I want to build a life style that I could be mostly self-sufficient, and also raise a few chickens ad other pets. I’m also interested in connecting with local farmers, not only to learn from them, but also to experience a different lifestyle. Now, I came to a realization that what work I choose to do, is what lifestyle I’m having. I choose to be close to nature and outdoor activities, and maybe one day will have my own veggie gardens. This is more attractive to me compared to computer work.

I want to visit the owner's farm and learn how to take care of it with permaculture skills. I love to communicate with people who love plants and trees. I come from Taiwan and many friends of mine told me about WWOOF. I want to try this way for traveling in Australia.

I joined WOOF because I want to learn the English language first. I also come to learn more about Australian culture, the magnificent landscapes have always attracted me enormously, WOOF is for me the good compromise because I could learn more about this culture with locals. in exchange for work on my part I am housed which is also also a very good deal for me. I look forward to meeting you !

I am really passionate about organic agriculture and want to experience it on the ground with my hands. I think WWOOf will give me the opportunity to engage with the world in a way that I have yet to - really get my hands dirty and learn from experience. I am sick of sitting on my computer, I want to engage, live in the world, and do work that I am really passionate about, which is organic farming.

I love the idea of staying with a family and having a more local experience all the while doing something productive. Traveling in a new country can often be tiring and it’s great to settle down for a week or so and get myself working. My sisters did WWOOF in Europe and had a fantastic experience and so greatly inspired me to try it out.

In addition to the reasons given above, another reason I joined WWOOF is because I want to live a simpler life and learn what it means to live a sustainable life. I was never particularly drawn to Australia until I started researching community living opportunities. Now I feel called to be there.

The WWOOF organisation was recommended to me by a contact at Work n Holiday, as a great way to experience Australia and learn some practical skills for the rest of my travels. I was really excited about the prospect of being out and about. Being stuck indoors in the city was starting to grate a little.

I have been WWOOFing once before on a vineyard in Greece for 1 month, I loved it. I would like to get out of the city during my uni breaks and see some more of Australia. I like WWOOFing because it's an opportunity to learn some new skills, visit some new places and meet some new people 🙂

Skills I Want to Learn:
I want a holiday and get out of my usual routine.  For the last several years, I've been doing a lot of work in front of a computer and it's time for a break from that.  Most of that time was spent living and working on my own, which was fine, but I’m ready for a change. I want to meet some new people, try some new things, and work cooperatively with others. I like being physically fit and using my body to achieve practical outcomes.  I also really enjoy being out in nature and interacting with animals. I enjoy gardening and I especially enjoy eating fresh, healthy food from the garden.  I don’t have a vegie garden of my own at the moment, so I’d enjoy participating in an organic farm.  I also want to support organic farms in general. I’ve done a lot of research into composting and I’d like to use my knowledge to help others.

I want to learn more about life here. I would like to improve my English and meet nice people. During my one year trip I would also like to make some longer stops.

To have more experience with people who are connected with nature. I had a beautiful experience in 2013 with this organisation. I would love to restart again as I'm feeling a bit disconnected with nature at the moment and would love to get inspired by other types of work and learn new skills.

I need to do my farm work days in order to apply for a second year Working Holiday visa. My housemate recommended Wwoofing as a good option. I'd love to help out on a farm for 3 months and get some experience and being out in nature more, as I usually work in front of a computer. I see this as a great opportunity to learn something new and at the same time help someone that needs a hand.

I am a inquisitive person who is really keen to step out of the city I am living in to experience a whole new different lifestyle. I have worked from a computer behind a desk for 7 years, WOOFing has been at the back of my mind but limited annual leave and commitments at work prevented me from signing up. I am now in between jobs and wish to seize the opportunity to do something I've always wanted to.

I recently joined WWOOF as I would like to travel around Australia learning new skills and meeting new people as I go along.

I have found that it is hard to get jobs without having skills so I believe this is a great opportunity for me to start.

I hope to achieve many skills, make lots of memories and meet new friends that can become family along the way.

I am a solo female traveler so I only wish to feel safe at all times and always be treated with respect.

I will expect that for the hard work I put in, that I will have a safe and comfortable place to sleep and be fed enough food in exchange for me to help you work 😊

We are in a Working Holiday for a year in Australia, and definitely looking for new experiences and get out of our comfort zone ! We are looking for new culture, new stories to listen and to share. You learn way more things by meeting people and live with them than traveling alone.
