I have a global perspective on life and living. I want to learn about cultures and experience new ways of working and living. I think the idea of working at an organic farm sounds both innovating and healthy. I also love to work and interact with people of different backgrounds and nationalities. I hope to make friends for life!

We live on a 2 acre property in a small coastal village on the far south coast of NSW surrounded by national parks and Bega river estuary. We have medium scale gardens growing vegetables and fruit with an orchard with over 40 fruit trees, and we are expanding our gardens so we can sell or swap the excess at the local SCPA market in Bega or local food swap meetings. Work includes general gardening, animal care and possible small construction. Accom for 2 in own room in main house. Shared meals, all cook together and food provided for self-catering. Mixed diet, vegetarians catered for. Initial stay 3-5 days, longer stays negotiable.

I joined WWOOF, because I think it is a fantastic way to become integrated in the local community. I believe that, through wwoofing, I can get to know Australia, and its people, in a manner much deeper than I ever could by simply traveling through. I also truly enjoy the work and meeting the incredible people!

We are excited to explore all that Australia has to offer. Our friends have WWOOF'd in the past and spoke highly of their experiences so we are thrilled to embark on this adventure!

Located only 5km from Mount Gambier’s city centre and 7km from the world famous volcanic crater Blue Lake. The property has many wonderful big old heritage trees, fruit trees and plants which we are continually learning about preserving & conserving. If not anything else, weeding the garden is always an option! Speckle Park X beef cattle are also bred and managed on the 200 acre onfarm, with rotational grass feeding, working in with my family’s nearby larger property.

I have joined WWOOF because I believe that, undoubtedly, the best way to learn to become an organic farmer or gardener is to learn first-hand from someone who is already doing it.

I joined WWOOF through American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) and I am interested in learning about life on Australian organic and permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically. I am hard working and willing to learn.
