I would love to continue to build my skills in gardening, permaculture and natural building, and meet interesting people along the way. I have spent some time volunteering in Ladakh on natural farming projects, and in Australia doing some natural building, and would love to explore more volunteering options that involve herb, flower and market gardens. I am also very keen to learn about beekeeping and cheesemaking.

We have had a plan to help farmers in some way for a couple of years. Now that we have the time without commitments we are able to give our time and knowledge to those in need. We are looking forward to meeting new people and making friendships. Seeing different country and ways of living. We are looking forward to travelling in our beloved 5th wheeler, and use our varied experience to help in any way we can. We love to try new things whether that is working with animals, cooking, growing stuff or new hobbies. We are excited about our new adventure.

We have a passion for travel and meeting people, and decided that we wanted to challenge ourselves in a way to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. When we came across the opportunities that WWOOF provided, it was a perfect fit! We loved the idea of slow travel while gaining insight into the life of the farming families across Australia at the same time. We are passionate about the environment and sustainable living and are eager to learn more about this lifestyle through the eyes of the people that work to put food on our tables. By joining WWOOF we hope to meet a diverse range of new people and become a part of their lifestyle while offering a helping hand wherever we can. Through our work and travel, we aim to learn a range of practical skills that we can apply to our everyday lives and into the future all while forming lasting relationships.

We joined in hope that we'd be able to make contact with like minded hosts that implement either (or all) organic, bio-dynamic or permaculture principles on their respective farms and plan out a year or two worth of experiences across Australia. From the travels and experiences throughout different parts of the country we'd like to have a good understanding of where we'd like to put down roots for our own permacultre farm. It is also very much about exposing our son to many and various life experiences afar of our current modern suburb lifestyle. New lifelong friendships would be an excellent outcome too 🙂

We think is the best way to get to know people from the area, learn about their growing practices and exchange experiences. We would love to meet people with similar interests in farming and to help each other.

It seems like a better way of working while travelling than the standard way of finding work, having that monetary relationship, worrying about where to live, trying to negotiate wages and all the other humdrum stuff. It sounds like the hosts are willing to share their knowledge, know how and experiences and be friendly at the same time. A very welcome change.

I joined WWOOF quite simply to  learn and experience as much as I can.  The idea of trying to live a little more sustainably has been something I've been interested in for many years, and now with a little more time available to me I am ready to dip my hands (and the rest of me) into the world of WWOOFing. I've always maintained a suburban vege patch, composted and recycled whatever I could and eaten as organically as possible. Reading about it doesn't work for me, I need to be hands on for things to really sink in. I so enjoy being and working in the outdoors and getting my hands dirty, Being productive makes me happy. I may not have any WWOOFer experience to bring yet but I bring a whole lot of life experience, a willingness to work hard and a total enjoyment of meeting new people.

My work and studies shed an insight into why I want to start WWOOFing. I am passionate about sustainable resource management and agriculture but have spent most of my career at a desk.
I am itching to get outdoors and gain some practical skills and experience on the land. I grew up in the Hunter Valley and have fond memories of riding quad bikes, milking cows, and collecting eggs on friends' farms. I've had a bit of experience in tree planting, floral data collection and habitat assessments through my degree.

We have already spent two years in Australia, mostly in Victoria. We enjoy meeting people, discovering the country and learn a lot of things. Nature lovers, we really enjoy walking and hiking or just being outside, taking care of animals, gardening and doing DIY. We spent one year in New Zealand six years ago and we did a lot of Wwoofing. We loved it ! Now our goal is to get a work visa in NZ and if we can to stay there for a while. Right now we would be happy to do some wwoofing in the South-East. Then we would like to find a job around Brisbane for a few months. Looking forward to meeting you.

I want to learn some new skills and work outside. I'm interested in meeting new people and learning about different lifestyles. I'm a hard worker, and I've worked in similar roles before - on a farm in the rainforest in Costa Rica and as a gardener. I learn quickly, am adaptable and I'm not afraid of hard work.

In our enthusiasm for organic vegie gardening, we have outgrown our suburban lot and are currently travelling around Queensland in our motorhome looking for a small hobby farm to develop with room for our vegie gardens, a mixed tropical orchard, keep mixed poultry and some aquaponics. So we want to expand our knowledge and experience by learning from people already achieving that dream.

I’m really hoping WWOOFing can help me find the right fit for me. A one stop website for all thing WWOOFing is super convenient. WWOOFing will help me be able to have a better work/home balance. I can’t wait to learn new skills, meet new people and see new places. If all goes well maybe in the future I can host WWOOFers.

We joined WWOOF to gain some more experience in operating home businesses, particularly organic farming and plant production. Our keen interest in living off the land has inspired us to see how others do it!

I feel like a change and would love to get back to my roots of growing and farm work to keep fit, meet new people of like mind and learn more about Eco-friendly ways of living. And to do my bit to help the planet so that the next generations can enjoy a sustainable future here on Mother Earth 🙂

I want to be the change I want to see in the world. The future of a purely digital age doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me and frankly scares me. I see the depth of value in union with the land; taking care of it is taking care of yourself and those around you. It brings people together. It connects people with all living things involved. More sharing, more empathy, richer connection, more physical work for a healthier body, more nutritious food for a healthier mind... It is a more beautiful life in my eyes.
