A friend of mine has done it and she had lots of good experiences and recommended me to have a look at it. Also, I grew up in a farm in France. We had mostly corn, wheat and dairy cows. I used to help a lot at our farm during the weekend. I miss it, and would like to experience farming in Australia. Thank you

To learn and help out in a country setting. To experience organic/biodynamic farm life. I had a friend on a farm in Lara when I was at high school and I always loved going to stay there. I really enjoy volunteering and have done quite a lot of it.

Volunteer for approx 25 hours a week - or negotiate for less hours if you provide some of your own food. We were bushfire-affected so WWOOFers are eligible for 88-day volunteer work for visa extensions. See link below for forms and information. Welcome to our community in this beautiful rainforest valley! Our home is part of a 1800 acre multiple-occupancy co-op with 250 residents, one of the oldest and largest intentional communities in Australia. We have our own school, pre-school, community centre, hall & other shared facilities. We also have lots of weeds & plenty of work for willing hands, from carpentry to gardening! Home is 2 little solar-powered houses by the creek with beautiful views and abundant birds and wildlife, as well as food trees, gardens and a beehive. We have fresh spring water, composting toilet and all mod cons. Mobile WiFi internet access is best with Telstra, although Optus gets some reception. Accommodation in small room in main house with own lounge area. You can either eat with me or do your own cooking - or a bit of both! ๐Ÿ˜Š Please let me know your skills and interests by email a few days before you wish to arrive and bring a ukulele or other musical instruments if you have one. Look forward to meeting you.

To be active physically and mentally while learning the skills and theory of permaculture, biodynamic farming, sustainable living and producing oneself with the land around them. I hope to find inspiration and shared values around alternative, kind and meaningful living practices while also gaining perspective on where I want to be in the world. I would love to work with animals where possible. I want to get out of my student head and learn through my hands and through physical observations rather then papers in my room. I want to meet people who know how to do really cool stuff with the environment with know-how and awe.

I would love to continue to build my skills in gardening, permaculture and natural building, and meet interesting people along the way. I have spent some time volunteering in Ladakh on natural farming projects, and in Australia doing some natural building and volunteering on farms, and would love to learn about beekeeping, cheesemaking, home brewing and distilling, food preservation, and the list goes on!

We have already spent two years in Australia, mostly in Victoria. We enjoy meeting people, discovering the country and learn a lot of things. Nature lovers, we really enjoy walking and hiking or just being outside, taking care of animals, gardening and doing DIY. We spent one year in New Zealand six years ago and we did a lot of WWOOFing. We loved it ! Now our goal is to get a work visa in NZ and if we can to stay there for a while. Right now we would be happy to do some WWOOFing in the South-East. Then we would like to find a job around Brisbane for a few months. Looking forward to meeting you.

I joined WWOOF to have the ability to get to know the Austrlian culture and people by working on farms. I love working with animals and grew up on the countryside in Germany. I love to learn new skills and gain experience.

Perhaps I was a farmer in a previous life! Just love being outside and experiencing interesting places, whilst making new friends. WWOOFing provides the best opportunity to really get a true feel for the people and the country you visit; beats being a tourist any day!

My husband and I want to get some land of our own in a few years, so we're joining WWOOF to see how others are managing their land! Alexandra grew up in farm country in the midwestern US so she's familiar with some aspects of growing crops and raising animals. Todd has read a LOT about permaculture and farming, and he's a great gardener. We want to learn by doing (anything and everything!).

I feel like a change and would love to get back to my roots of growing and farm work to keep fit, meet new people of like mind and learn more about Eco-friendly ways of living. And to do my bit to help the planet so that the next generations can enjoy a sustainable future here on Mother Earth ๐Ÿ™‚

I joined WWOOF because I want to get an impression of what I can do to help the environment and support organic farms. Other than that I think you can collect great memories and experience a great time in Australia while working.

I joined WWOOF to get some hands on experience in some existing organic and permaculture farms around Australia. I love meeting new people and love doing volunteer work. I would love to meet like minded people and build friendships with people on a similar journey as me.

I joined WWOOFing because I want to be involved in projects on the land, learn new skills, contribute to community & meet like minded people who share the same values around humble, simple living on the land. I like to feel purpose in my life & I feel happiest when I am in nature & working towards something that makes a difference in the world. I am living in my van & want to travel with purpose & meet wonderful like minded people. I am also exploring areas that I enjoy to hopefully set down some roots in a nice community. I think WWOOFing is a great way to learn new skills & be immersed in beautiful areas.

I join WWOOF is it will enable me to learn more about organic farming in Australia. I volunteer in a Not For Profit farm in Singapore at least once a week, now that I have retired from my regular job as an Accountant. I also like to travel and meet people and the WWOOF experience will give me this opportunity.

To get work experience as I canโ€™t find a job after doing my certification due to lack of experience. Iโ€™m hoping to learn skills to also help me personally as I love veggie gardening. Iโ€™d like to meet new people and see new places.

Friends of us told us about WWOOF and we knew โ€šwe wanna try this!โ€˜ As I wrote above: we love the nature and are super excited to learn new things. Both of us are not shy to do hard work or get dirty hands. We would also like to get to know Australia through locals and discover how they live and help out how they work.
