City/Town: Deloraine
Farming Methods: Biodynamic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home, Separate Building
Small Bio-dynamic property in beautiful artistic Deloraine, living & gardening for food & beauty in harmony with nature. Large vegetable garden, orchard, herbs, flowers, hothouse, geese, beekeeping with natural warre beehives, solar, sustainable building projects & maintenance, artistic projects & a magical rescue greyhound dog. Good place to learn about Bio-dynamics. Seasonal & joyful work: gardening, harvesting, preserving, fermenting, artistic projects, building and home maintenance. I am a therapeutic dance teacher & work with arts & creativity.  I enjoy dance, meditation, bushwalking & creativity. WWOOFers welcome to join in on these activities. Accommodation for 1-2 in cosy barn or in the house. Shared meals, meat & vegetarian. No children. No smoking on property. Longer stays after initial stay.  2 min walk into beautiful town & walks by the river that has platypus. I think the best qualification you can learn as a gardener is how to listen, attuning to your environment, taking time.  What is the earth, this flower, this piece of soil telling me?  & how can I respond to care for this earth/nature/creature from that listening. I'm passionate about nature & our environment & keep learning how to live more simply on this earth.  I love my work with arts, creativity, dance & meditation, inspiring people to live well & live their best lives. Happy to host WWOOFers who are working or studying remotely, I like long term WWOOFers so if you are looking for a home in a beautiful community & some work alongside your work or study,  please be in contact. I prefer initial contact via message/email. Look forward to hear from you, Stephanie

I think WWOOF is a good way to make yourself useful and get to know about permaculture, local life, people and the country at the same time. I got very much interested into permaculture during my first WWOOF stay and I would be happy to start my own veggie/fruit garden when I get back home.

We have a passion for travel and meeting people, and decided that we wanted to challenge ourselves in a way to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. When we came across the opportunities that WWOOF provided, it was a perfect fit! We loved the idea of slow travel while gaining insight into the life of the farming families across Australia at the same time. We are passionate about the environment and sustainable living and are eager to learn more about this lifestyle through the eyes of the people that work to put food on our tables. By joining WWOOF we hope to meet a diverse range of new people and become a part of their lifestyle while offering a helping hand wherever we can. Through our work and travel, we aim to learn a range of practical skills that we can apply to our everyday lives and into the future all while forming lasting relationships.

We joined WWOOF because we want to reduce our environmental impact and try to live our lives in a sustainable way. We are both quite practical but we would like to offer our time and energy to learn new skills from our hosts that we can take with us in our journey to becoming more self-sufficient. And of course we look forward to visiting all the places in Australia we've not yet explored!

We’ve been travelling around the south coast for a little while as nomads and are looking forward to getting to know a place more deeply, to build new relationships with the land and people here. After trying to grow food in the heat of Katherine, we’re looking forward to learning what works well on Yuin country. We enjoy learning new skills and sharing some of our own. Please note, we need access to mobile reception and/or Wi-Fi, as Valerie (and myself occasionally) does casual work online, and we are both looking for additional paid work.

Organic vineyard, Organic vegetable garden, Organic edible flowers. Elizabeth purchased one ton of Riesling grapes from the Porongurup sub-region in the Great Southern in 2010 and made two barrels of Shiraz from Mount Barker also from the Great Southern in the same year.  It was here that Flor Marché was born. The idea was to source small parcels of fruit from single vineyards across the southwest of Western Australia selected because that variety produced the best quality wine possible. Currently, she sources small parcels of sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon from Wilyabrup, Margaret River. From the Great Southern Riesling, pinot noir and shiraz. She also sources a small amount of Grenache from 60 year old vines in the Swan Valley.

I joined WWOOF Australia because I’m interested in helping people in return for learning new skills and making new connections, I did some WWOOFing whilst I lived in NZ and it made the experience of living in a new country much easier to adjust to and I credit that to the friendly like minded people I met thru WWOOfing and I’m hoping to get much the same whilst traveling around Australia.

I did some WWOOFing in France and it's always been a great experience, in terms of learning, hearing and sharing life stories, and contributing to host's projects. With a project of shifting to farm life at some point, I am willing to get more hands-on experience, learn as much as I can and experience farm life. WWOOFing has always allowed me to meet new, skilled and passionate people willing to have a positive, sustainable impact and I look forward to more in Australia!

I would like to travel and get to know Australia a little bit better by helping and volunteering on different kind of farms. I always wanted to work somewhere outside in the nature with animals and on organic farms with vegetables and fruits.
