Friends of us told us about WWOOF and we knew ‚we wanna try this!‘ As I wrote above: we love the nature and are super excited to learn new things. Both of us are not shy to do hard work or get dirty hands. We would also like to get to know Australia through locals and discover how they live and help out how they work.

I would love to continue to build my skills in gardening, permaculture and natural building, and meet interesting people along the way. I have spent some time volunteering in Ladakh on natural farming projects, and in Australia doing some natural building, and would love to explore more volunteering options that involve herb, flower and market gardens. I am also very keen to learn about beekeeping and cheesemaking.

Belted Galloway cattle farm in the southern highlands. We milk these cows, too - they love to be patted. We also raise chickens for breeding and eggs, have a Permaculture veggie garden, and have just planted hazelnut trees. We are at our next stage of bushfire recovery having completed fencing and felling some trees. There are many tasks still to do even though it has rained and looks green. We need to expand the permaculture areas, constant weeding, pruning fruit trees, planting bare rooted vines and transplanting fruit trees. We also maintain a small wildlife reserve on part of the farm and look at grasses to make sure that the wombats we co-exist with have enough to eat. Volunteer tasks include feeding chickens, tending veggie garden, moving cattle to strip graze, milking cows (in non drought situations), weeding, collecting firewood, composting & worm farming. Accomodation for 2 within our home. Shared meals, all cook together. Mixed diet. Vegetarians & vegans catered for. Children b.a. No smoking on property. Initial stay 12-14 days. Longer stays negotiable.

I want to actively learn and enjoy different experiences and WWOOFing just seems like the perfect way to do that. My biggest passion is being in the garden, I have a small veggie patch at home which I tend to regularly and I get immense joy from. I would love to learn sustainable methods to farming, I want to experience a day in the lives of other people, I just want to LEARN!

I have thought about WWOOFing for over 25 years; I decided it was time. I am hoping to relocate from rural SA to Darwin for an academic year for the purpose of undertaking an Honours degree at CDU. The current rental crisis requires some "out of the box" thinking in terms of finding suitable accommodation in Darwin. I am hoping to find a suitable Host farm at which I can stay and work for part or all of 2022.

I was a WWOOFingchost on a 10 acre rainforest and bushland property north of Mackay Qld for nearly 10 years. It was one of the most wonderful, memorable experiences of my life. I got out of it as least as much as I put in - which was a LOT! We undertook revegetation projects, built a shack from mostly recycled materials, did loads of weed management, grew fruits, vegies and nuts organically and had an absolutely fantastic experience with our WWOOFers. I always said I'd love to do it myself and now I am. I can cook, clean, garden, follow instructions, respect your privacy, play scrabble and appreciate your place, pets and projects as much as you do. I'm currently deepening my yoga practice after 25 years of being a more casual fan. I love a chat but I also appreciate my own space/peace and quiet. I am travelling in a compact 4WD motorhome and left Qld in February 2021. Some power or water or use of an inside bathroom or laundry is always appreciated but not crucial. A little hut in the bush is always fun as I can spread out - but not too much! A spot to lay my yoga mat out is all I need. I do have a very cute, well behaved little dog but she has won hearts and changed opinions on dogs from one side of Australia to the other. Yes I realise that's a bit unusual. I've been doing a lot of house sitting and have great references to prove how housetrained and helpful we are. She is 10 years old and basically sleeps all day and night (in the moho). If you meet me or Daisy and don't think we are a good fit, we can just head on down the road. No worries! You won't be disappointed though. I love to learn and will be very happy to help you no matter how large, small or dirty the job. Plus I still have a lot of things I'd like to learn, so teach me and I'll really enjoy being a part of making YOUR dreams a reality. Having people in your home is a leap of faith and I've rarely been disappointed when the shoe was on the other foot. Give us a go.

I got to know WWOOF through a friend who once worked on a farm in Canada. She was very enthusiastic. I like the idea of doing something different from my job and broadening my horizons. I like animals and working in the garden. I like to be outside and am not afraid of work. I hope to get to know real life in Australia through WWOOF and live with the host family for a longer time.

We are a historic homestead dating back to 1865 in Lilydale. We are on 65 acres and have a hobby farm which includes 6 cattle, 14 sheep, 4 goats, 2 horses, chickens, dogs and cats. We have a veggie garden, fruit trees, paddocks and grounds that need maintaining. We have a comfortable two bedroom cottage for WWOOFers. We are a busy family with four children and it would be great to have assistance around the property. There is a bus stop at the end of our driveway to the nearby town of Lilydale (2km), with busses and trains to melbourne- under 1 hour.

I'm absolutely fascinated and devastated with everything I'm studying and am looking for opportunities to experience peoples different ways of living sustainably and talk/ experience all things environment and climate action!! Building from that, my main focus is in environment and climate change education programs as well as community impact programs and am able to lend my skills to supporting those as well as helping to develop programs, classes or experiences. I'm currently developing nature art workshops as a way to discuss and explore our connection to nature and the cycle of life, as well as exploring different avenues of crossover between working farms and positive community impact. I would like to learn how climate change is effecting different regions and practices, as well as adaption and mitigation efforts. I am happy to travel anywhere across Australia.

I joined WWOOF to help out on farms, to learn how to grow organically, to meet cool new people and do something a bit different. It is my dream to one day have my own bit of land and grow my own food, so the skills I learn now wwoofing will be so helpful acheiving my goal. I was born and raised in Karrinyup, in the suburbs of Perth and want to get back in contact with more sustainable and authentic ways of living.
