This is a good sized garden in the northern suburbs of Canberra where we grow a range of temperate-climate fruit, vegetables and flowers for home use and to gift to friends and neighbours. Visitors will have a comfy bedroom in our house with good wifi coverage. We are looking for people interested in short stays (3-7 days) to do 4-5 hours general gardening a day, leaving plenty of time to explore Canberra. I can pick up from the airport, train or bus station.

Our little cottage is in a small country town two hours north of Melbourne. We have recently moved here to be closer to nature and build a more sustainable life. Over the next few months we will focus on building a larger chicken coup, developing the vegetable gardens and keeping bees. We would like to sell our produce to the town, and by doing so, raise funds to put some of the proceeds back into community lead projects. We are learners on this journey, and welcome anyone who would like to join us.

We make natural wine in small commercial quantities at my property in Blackheath using organically grown grapes purchased from Orange & Mudgee 2 hours drive away. We also have a medium to large vineyard 30 minutes away that we are bringing back into production and this is where we spend most of our time working at the present time.

Our newly-completed strawbale home is solar powered and passive-solar designed. We have a large bush  block that backs onto the Blue Mountains National Park national park on two sides. The Wentworth Falls waterfalls are an easy walk from here.  We have been gradually building garden beds to grow our own organic veggies and fruit, as well as flowers, trees and shrubs.

3hrs from Melbourne Airport I am a retired secondary school teacher and run a small BnB business and, having moved onsite recently, I am establishing the garden and maintaining the property. I keep bees, and wish soon to increase the number of hives I have. I have hosted many Couchsurfers in my own flat, but will provide more private accommodation with the help of WWOOFers ASAP. The property is within a short distance of the Halls Gap village, and is set adjacent to the very popular Grampians National Park, famous for its mountains, wildlife and hiking and climbing. There is usually abundant opportunity for additional work in local restaurants, etc., if desired.

Help us to help others. I have a functional neurological disorder that impacts on my daily life with movement, day to day living, speech sometimes, chronic fatigue. Wanting to start a support group for others that are similar. We would like to set up a food forest and sensory garden right here on Russell Island. Woofers help us to maintain the property and to build and maintain fruit trees, raised garden beds, hugelkultur garden, lasagna-method garden beds for a wide range of fruit and vegetables grown in an organic way. Wayne and I are an outgoing couple that like to meet new people and learn from all cultures. We are both chefs by trade but have moved onto the island for a quiet sense of life. We both like to get into arts and crafts. We are both originally from New Zealand and have been living in Australia for ten years. Graeme likes to go fishing and all things outdoors even though he's got this disability, he doesn't let that limit his life. Wayne likes to get into music and he's more the indoor type. We're pretty easy going people and like to learn new things. At the moment we're building our house and arts studio while staying in a 3 bedroom rental where you will be staying while the house is being completed. We don't mind couples and can cater up to 4 people at a time. Building experience and gardening experience is preferable but not exactly needed. You must be friendly, outgoing, willing to work five hours a morning in exchange for room and board. Please let us know if there is anything you'd like to know about our little island.
