Skills I Want to Learn:
I completed a PDC with goodlife permaculture earlier this year, and i am now looking to deepen my knowledge of permaculture systems in practice at all different scales, as well as further developing my practical skills. Im currently in a learning phase of my life, where i am trying to work out how i want to live, and what i would like to do with my life, so im interested in exploring different kinds of alternative living. I am particularly intersted in community living and all the different ways that can manifest itself, but i am committed to keeping myself open to all new experiences on this journey.

Lovely large home on 2 acres in lovely Redlynch Valley. 5min walk to beautiful crystal clear creek and 3 km to Redlynch Shopping Centre where busses can be caught to city or northern beaches, about 20min. I grow a multitude of fruits and vegetables on the property and also have a pottery studio. I am very knowledgeable in both of these areas and willing to share my knowledge. I am mostly vegetarian, some seafood and would prefer not to cook meat however welcome to utilize kitchen.

This is a 3 acre farmlet, on a large creek, where 5 alpacas and 3 sheep roam free range.  There's orchards of fruit trees both introduced and indigenous, vegetable gardens, a worm farm, bee hives, an agroforestry plot for future timber, and lots of indigenous planting.  The property is in South Gippsland where it is lush and pretty all year- not far to Wilson's prom and the beautiful Gippsland coast. The house-share is comfortable with modern facilities (aircon, appliances, internet).

The Rickert family welcomes you to the middle of the bush! We are a very sociable and informal community consisting of Maria, her three adult children and two grand-children, including Pottery Studio, Café and Farmstay permanent staff and volunteers. We run a small farming business with horses, goats, sheep and chickens. If you have green fingers, there is a large organic green house that is in constant need of weeding, watering and harvesting. This is the home to the famous Pilliga Pottery, a large and flourishing creative enterprise, not to mention the Blue Wren Cafe that is open seven days. Our buildings are unique and made from mud-brick, straw bale, rammed earth and local timbers. WE HAVE AN AMAZING DEEP AND COOL SWIMMING POOL !!! Work is required in gardening (weeding and watering), helping in the café and also the pottery studio. Leisure activities include volleyball, swimming, bush walking, bird watching, pottery, sculpture, artwork, playing musical instruments and milking the cow. If you do not own a vehicle, we will collect you from the bus stop in Coonabarabran.  No smoking inside. Pet friendly.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF in order to begin my travels through the world. My entire life it has been my dream to travel and experience everything I can. I want to see and learn from new cultures, and to be a part of something bigger than myself and the small town I grew up in. WWOOF makes that dream tangible. Not only does it give me the ability to travel but also to learn new skills. I have always felt an overwhelming pull to Australia and desire to immerse myself in the land. The goal in participating in the wine industry will allow for brand new knowledge and skills which will in turn create connections for the future.

Currumbin Valley Pottery & Gallery are situated at the base of the Tomowin Mountain Range that divides Queensland and NSW. The valley is home to a host of native birds & wildlife. We are a 10min drive away from Mt Cougal NP, where meandering natural rock pools wind through the tranquil rainforest. We are also a 10km drive from the beach and a great surfing spot. The pottery & gallery take up most of our small plot, though we have a good variety of organic tropical and citrus trees, and a compact garden. Work is mainly gardening, some shared kitchen duties, and some gallery maintenance, 4-5 hrs daily, 5 days a week. Accom for 1-2 single guys/girls, or a married couple. Good food, meat-based, mixed diet. Prefer intermediate speakers of English. No drugs, alcohol or abusive language. Non-smokers only. P/U from Varsity Lakes train station, Palm Beach bus stop, or Gold Coast airport. Negotiable stays after first few days.

I've joined WWOOF because I want to meet people who live a life I aspire to live. I'm really captured about connecting with the earth and its people and I believe gaining new experiences with WWOOF would be a great way to do that. I am really curious about all aspects of sustainability and organic farming practices as well as commercial and non-organic farming. Also, I'd love to see the results of my efforts. From my line of work it's a bit sad not seeing hard work amount to much from a computer screen.
