Hello, we are Katrina and Finn and we live at Beachwood. It is a 2 acre patch of land that is part of the Eco-Village in the beautiful Currumbin Valley. Situated in the hinterlands of the Gold Coast, Queensland, we are just ten minutes from the BEACH and half an hour from all a city can offer. The bus pictured is the woofers accom! So far, people love it! Katrina is an architect/builder/ and Finn is a sculptor/builder/musician we have a lot to share with a willing worker and we always try to have fun while we create! We speak French, German and welcome all cultures... Here on Beachwood we grow as much of our own food as possible. We are building our own unique timber framed  house, as well as maintaining the land and undertaking a number of other interesting projects. We are looking for WWoofers that have building skills to help us finish our unique hand-made timber house and general gardening skills.

I have a lovely historic 10 acre farm running around 15 Merino and Merino x sheep, Truffle Farm and Kitchen Garden. The Truffiere will be expanded next winter to diversify and include white truffles, olive trees and bee hives.. Built in 1894, there is a lot of history here including a large stone barn that was once used the village school and a prohibition bar! There are a wide variety of fruit trees and preserving to do including Mulberry's, table grapes, citrus, lemons, limes, loquats, cumquat, figs, pomegranate, olives, peaches, pears, apples, nectarines. We have a poultry unit with egg layers, heritage Brahma from the UK and Japanese Quail. We are chemical free which means weeding, mulching etc and we are water wise. You will have your own room in the main house with Antique double bed and main bathroom used by the Guest rooms only.

Skills I Want to Learn:
Can't think of anything more fun ! Am very fit, don't mind hard work and like your system of work for accomodation. I believe the future needs people to be able to grow their own food, manage animals in their own back yards or small spaces as well as big farms. I also enjoy the company of others who love to help and are looking for a learning experience through organic farming.
