Skills I Want to Learn:
I'm alone and i'll be arrive in Australia in April, and, ideally, I would like to start my life as a woofer, quickly. I don't have a specific place at the moment. I don't have a date line, I left my job for unlimited time, so I would like to take time to meet you and discover life on your farm, with your family and others people. I hope to be a woofer for a few weeks ou months if It's possible for you. I want to travel, to discover australia and to help on farms, picking up fruits and vegetables, in the fields, I know how to take care of animals, take care of them, and feed them. I want to learn all I can about life on the farm or in animal shelters.

I joined WWOOF because I've never had the opportunity to volunteer or work in a farm, and I'd like to try. I'd like to work in the outdoors, surrounded by nature and animals. I grew up in a small town in the countryside, so I'm used to that kind of life and it would be great to see places I wouldn't see otherwise.

I joined WWOOF because I think with them I will learn a lot about myself. I try new things and reach my limits. I collect experiences which I would not get in Germany. I get many new impressions that I would never have received otherwise. Moreover I meet many new people who talk about their experiences and also I can learn from them.

I am looking for the experiences now that will allow me to implement the skills in agriculture and farming where I end up settling down later. WWOOF was an organization, after doing research into other organizations such as PeaceCorps, that fit my desire to learn and grow individually, rather than push an obligation to "improve" something there without understanding much about the place. If I am asked to help change something, I would be more than willing to help; however, organizations such as PeaceCorps put an emphasis on making change based on what you see needs it. I don't believe this is at possible without having a grasp on the way of life there. WWOOF provides an experience that has a casual atmosphere, in which I would be allowed to focus on learning. Ideally, I will be able to gain knowledge about how to create and maintain crops and care for livestock so that one day I will be able to impart the knowledge I have gained for others to obtain as well. I want to get my hands dirty, build calluses and character, be humbled by how others live and learn to live frugally.
