We live at the Co-ordination Co-op which is one of the largest communities in Australia, established after the Aquarius Festival in 1973. Our Community is set in an enchanted valley - 2000 acres backing on to the Nightcap NP - where around 200 residents live, committed to environmental preservation. We're surrounded by subtropical rainforest with bubbling creeks, great swimming holes, excellent bushwalks & abundant wildlife. Friendly easy-going Hosts - happy to share our knowledge & vast experience of alternative lifestyle. We would like help with our gardens & orchards, weed control, building maintenance seed & bulb collection & anything else that's happening at the time. Accommodation for 1-3 in our home. Vegetarian meals only.  No smoking inside. No cats or dogs. Initial stay 3-5 days. Longer stays definitely possible. Have a great creek for swimming in the warmer months. Sustainable living with a view to living in harmony with nature. Off the grid power system and solar hot water, lowering our impact on our beautiful planet. Wildlife sanctuary with a myriad of different birds and animals. Feel at home!

My property has been different since 4th January last year when a savage bushfire wiped out every square cm of its 175 acres. I always wondered whether established rainforest would burn easily, and I learned that if the fire is hot enough, the inherent damp in the environment makes virtually no difference to how combustible it is. It is still beautiful with a new rugged kind of beauty - the beauty of a survivor. It is largely ancient rock formations, and you can see the rock so much more now that it isn't draped in greenery. It has been amazing to see how quickly life has sprung back, though, as green sprouts emerge and take off from every nook and cranny. Here as a WWOOFer you can experience a pioneering lifestyle, living simply, very simply, without power and with variable phone and internet access. Sleep in your own tent if it has sewn-in floor, or in basic safe shelter provided and help develop a fabulous rainforest property on which I plan to establish accommodation for homeless young people. Tasks? You name it . . . previous helpers have gained skills in natural building (both earth building and construction with timber-in-the-round and dressed timber), how to fell and bark trees, how to build a professional looking deck using felled timber for the structure - also sheds, tank stands etc. Help to create our Cob buildings - currently in the planning stage. Stay a while and learn how to build a Cob house!  It's not as hard as you think. Previously we were developing an organic garden following permaculture principles, however that infrastructure was lost in the fire and so now we are starting all over again. For the time being, the emphasis is on getting infrastructure rebuilt, so there is accommodation and water available for a start. Most of my WWOOFers have had little or no prior knowledge about building, and they have come away with good knowledge and skills in a matter of days or weeks. I'm happy to say they have frequently commented on what a great experience it was. I look forward to hearing from energetic, willing helpers.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering. We appreciate help, enjoy young people and having an excuse to visit the beautiful and interesting places Adelaide, the hills and the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia have to offer with them. Due to the corona virus all our booked overseas helpers had to cancel their flight to Australia. The first time in Years we might at times be without helpers at all. Some local Australian helpers, unable to go overseas are now filling the gap which is very nice as we used to have overseas helpers only before. Please read through all the text below and only apply if you think this is for you. We live on a 2 hectare property with the young Angas River running through. We have organic gardens with fruit trees, all sorts of berries, vegetable gardens with free roaming bantams, big layer hens, a Muscovy duck, flower beds, lawns as well as two goats on paddocks and a cute house cat. 1 of our 4 kids, Katharina, is living next door with her partner. Bernward is semi retired but still runs a sustainable architecture and building consultancy business part time from offices attached to the home. Barbara works at the local hospital. We have been accommodating helpers since 2011  through various help exchange sites. If you want a break from travelling in a non judgmental  friendly  family environment and you are open and self-motivated, this is the place for you. This is not an action or party place but rather a place to relax and get creative with great light, & scenery for painting and photography, write and get back to nature. A big woodworking workshop invites creativity. I enjoy teaching woodworking skills to our helpers with the option to learn how to fit out campervans and tiny houses. A couple of times a week we heat up our Sauna and helpers are welcome to join. Help is always needed in the garden & paddock, picking berries & apples, looking after animals, weed control, making firewood, compost, cleaning up sheds & around the place, sometimes on a sustainable building site. We live 45min by car from Adelaide, 45min from safe swimming beaches & 45min from the surf, so we are pretty central. Accommodation  for 2 in separate stone cottage & own room in the main building. All share in home cooked evening meal. Mixed diet. No smokers please. Longer stays (min 3 weeks) preferred after initial few days. Please contact us via email only.

City/Town: Conondale
Farming Methods: Biodynamic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home, BYO Accommodation
We have a beautiful property in Conondale, near Maleny which is in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Queensland. 154 acres, mostly native bush but with about 20-30acres of cleared land, and we even have our own rain forrest and deer! We have recently moved here and have lots of plans! But the first thing is to get the fences sorted, and the weeds in the paddocks and the native bush. We are interested in regenerative farming methods, and are looking forward to putting these practices in place to improve the soil and native bush around us. We have a fabulous pool, tennis court and with three dams, one which you can kayak in, there is lots to do on your down time. There is a bus at our gate that will take you into Maleny which is about a 20 minute drive. We've had WWOOFers for the last 2 years out at Roma (in the South QLD outback) and would love to host more here, in this completely different environment as we learn together!

We offer hosted accommodation on the edge of the World Heritage Area in northern Tasmania. We are looking for some help with maintenance and gardening. We have been hosting WWOOFers from many different countries for nine years. Our WWOOFers have assisted with building gardens & orchards, painting & repairing the Lodge and with making jam, bread & chutney. We grow as much food as we can organically and process it for later use. We love to cook good food and can teach anyone interested. When we take guests on guided walks we also take our WWOOFers. There are mountains around if you like trecking. If you enjoy food, nature & photography this is a good place. We are conservation minded. Work includes gardening, weeding, planting, repairs, track maintenance, painting, jam making and firewood. We have a nice cabin for accommodation but occasionally also use our caravan. Space for 2 or 3 Email contact is best. We don't have mobile coverage. We do have internet which wwoofers can use.
