I am going to be travelling around Australia by myself and want to connect with like-minded people and learn as much as possible along the way. I learn best through hands-on experience so I thought this would be a good way to learn while helping people along the way.

For 35 years now, on 940 acres of diverse plateau-edge forest with spectacular gorge pools and waterfalls, we two zoologists have created an off-grid, solar, gravity, wood and people powered - experiment in sustainable food gardening and land, fire and wildlife management. We have lots of food gardening and bushfire recovery related activities happening at the moment and are also helping out on other exciting community projects such as the Oxygen Farm (walking track), the Elands Company an old sawmill now used for community events and landscape rehabilitation, and organic lunches for our post fire "recombobulation" project at the local community health centre. Work hours are flexible, tasks varied, fruit, vegies, nuts etc fresh from the large garden/orchard/swales and diet mixed. Accommodation at the house is in 2 rooms, one with 3 single beds and one with a Queen bed but you can also choose to camp close by if you have that gear. Can pick you up from public transport at Wingham/Taree/Port Macquarie. Min stay 1 week unless you have own transport. Long stays are welcome as we love having visitors, sharing stories and showing them our beautiful river and plateau environment.

I want to actively learn and enjoy different experiences and WWOOFing just seems like the perfect way to do that. My biggest passion is being in the garden, I have a small veggie patch at home which I tend to regularly and I get immense joy from. I would love to learn sustainable methods to farming, I want to experience a day in the lives of other people, I just want to LEARN!

A friend of mine has done it and she had lots of good experiences and recommended me to have a look at it. Also, I grew up in a farm in France. We had mostly corn, wheat and dairy cows. I used to help a lot at our farm during the weekend. I miss it, and would like to experience farming in Australia. Thank you

To learn and help out in a country setting. To experience organic/biodynamic farm life. I had a friend on a farm in Lara when I was at high school and I always loved going to stay there. I really enjoy volunteering and have done quite a lot of it.

Volunteer for approx 25 hours a week - or negotiate for less hours if you provide some of your own food. We were bushfire-affected so WWOOFers are eligible for 88-day volunteer work for visa extensions. See link below for forms and information. Welcome to our community in this beautiful rainforest valley! Our home is part of a 1800 acre multiple-occupancy co-op with 250 residents, one of the oldest and largest intentional communities in Australia. We have our own school, pre-school, community centre, hall & other shared facilities. We also have lots of weeds & plenty of work for willing hands, from carpentry to gardening! Home is 2 little solar-powered houses by the creek with beautiful views and abundant birds and wildlife, as well as food trees, gardens and a beehive. We have fresh spring water, composting toilet and all mod cons. Mobile WiFi internet access is best with Telstra, although Optus gets some reception. Accommodation in small room in main house with own lounge area. You can either eat with me or do your own cooking - or a bit of both! 😊 Please let me know your skills and interests by email a few days before you wish to arrive and bring a ukulele or other musical instruments if you have one. Look forward to meeting you.

To be active physically and mentally while learning the skills and theory of permaculture, biodynamic farming, sustainable living and producing oneself with the land around them. I hope to find inspiration and shared values around alternative, kind and meaningful living practices while also gaining perspective on where I want to be in the world. I would love to work with animals where possible. I want to get out of my student head and learn through my hands and through physical observations rather then papers in my room. I want to meet people who know how to do really cool stuff with the environment with know-how and awe.

Bullimah Community is heading in to its third year. It’s been an eventful few years with building an intentional community, bushfires and COVID. We are a community made up of varying ages with several families with children. We currently have gardens on all our individual shares and communally farm our chickens, ducks, a goat and two sheep. Over the next year we will be setting up our communal wastewater system, which will also include our orchard, planting fruit trees in our communal areas, working on our community garden and on our animal systems, rehabilitating and augmenting our riparian areas as well as building houses, milling timber, fencing and all the other necessities of living on property.

We live on 100 acres in the Margaret River region, with a large orchard and kitchen garden that produces a large amount of fruit and vegetables. We focus on regenerative farming, animal ethics, cooking and food production without chemicals. Currently we have chickens, sheep, dogs and cats and human children that go to the local high school but the animal numbers change regularly. We are still growing and developing so there are plenty exciting projects to be involved with.

I have thought about WWOOFing for over 25 years; I decided it was time. I am moving to Darwin for a year of postgraduate study and hoping to find a suitable Host farm at which I can stay and work for part or all of 2022.

I joined WWOOF to help out on farms, to learn how to grow organically, to meet cool new people and do something a bit different. It is my dream to one day have my own bit of land and grow my own food, so the skills I learn now wwoofing will be so helpful acheiving my goal. I was born and raised in Karrinyup, in the suburbs of Perth and want to get back in contact with more sustainable and authentic ways of living.

I have recently planted an orchard of 40 fruit trees plus rainforest trees with plans for expansion into herb and vegetable growing. Ocean views and breeze, accommodation in comfortable cabin with rainwater tank and camp cooker, no electricity, seperate to house. 15mins to beautiful Bermagui township and 5mins to Mimosa Rocks national Park, Aragannu and Bunga surf beaches. I would be very appreciative of any assistance with weeding, planting, mulching. This year I have incorporated a Kenyan top bar beehive and am learning as I go, it’s given me motivation to plant a variety of flowering plants. I am a trained Herbalist / Naturopath and currently work as a mental health support worker. I have 2 teenage kids Harry and Lana and 1 border collie dog Lunah.

I would love to continue to build my skills in gardening, permaculture and natural building, and meet interesting people along the way. I have spent some time volunteering in Ladakh on natural farming projects, and in Australia doing some natural building and volunteering on farms, and would love to learn about beekeeping, cheesemaking, home brewing and distilling, food preservation, and the list goes on!

We have a beautiful 40 acre horse agistment property, veggie garden & fruit trees and approx. 5 acres bush. 3 min drive to surf beach, bay beach & Inverloch town or 10 min drive to Wonthaggi, a larger town. Push bikes available. We are very interested in living a sustainable lifestyle and hope that our WWOOFers are also interested in living sustainably and learning, and sharing knowledge of this. There are almost always wallabies at our farm and if you are lucky you may see kangaroos, echidnas, wombats & occasional koalas. Volunteering may include harvesting, food collection, composting, mulching, hay carting, weeding, fencing, planting, food preservation.  Sometimes there is some work caring for horses: often all the work is in the garden and paddock maintenance, as the horses are mainly looked after by their owners. Accommodation for up to 3 in our home, although we usually prefer 2. Shared meals, cook together. We eat a healthy, sustainable diet.  Bron is vegan and while Ray eats everything, many meals are vegan or vegetarian.  Vegetarians & vegans catered for.  No children, no smoking, all stays negotiable on application. Please let us know your available dates when you apply and the length of time that you would like to WWOOF here. (1 to 2 weeks preferred).

We have already spent two years in Australia, mostly in Victoria. We enjoy meeting people, discovering the country and learn a lot of things. Nature lovers, we really enjoy walking and hiking or just being outside, taking care of animals, gardening and doing DIY. We spent one year in New Zealand six years ago and we did a lot of WWOOFing. We loved it ! Now our goal is to get a work visa in NZ and if we can to stay there for a while. Right now we would be happy to do some WWOOFing in the South-East. Then we would like to find a job around Brisbane for a few months. Looking forward to meeting you.
