As a little girl I have watched McLeods daughters with my mum and I have always wanted to experience the life on a farm myself. So a couple of years later I am willing to fulfill that dream. The first time I heard about WWOOF was from my brother who travelled around Canada in 2016. He told me about all the exciting things he had learned and experienced so I thought I wanted to do the same and now the time has come. Wwoofing is a perfect way for me to learn something about the australian culture and the way of living on the countryside. I love being outside and challenging myself and I think with WWOOF I can combine both parts. For me it is a perfect way to save a bit of money for my long stay but also do something for my food and accommodation and hopefully meet a bunch of nice people along my journey.

I like to be in nature and spend time with people and achieve goals together. I like the animals and everything nature gives us. It is a small thank you to nature if I can help it.

I joined WWOOF to learn the real Australia without all the extras for the tourists. I want to witness the farm life on Australia and I want see the different and similar between Germen farms and Australia farms. I´ve a lot of questions: Why do you decide to get an organic farm, what are the advantages and disadvantages to be an organic farmer… I hope I can learn more over the life on organic farms and the philosophy of the farmers.

I decided to join WWOF Australia, because I believe that volunteering at a farm is a very good way to get to know the culture and nature of this country. Since I also love to learn new things I am looking forward to challenge myself with new tasks. Moreover I grew up on the country side in Austria with a lot of animals (I actually love all kinds of animals, especially dogs) and being outside in the woods my whole childhood and therefore I generally feel a strong bond to nature. I am really looking forward to this exciting new chapter of my life and to getting to know new things about the culture and nature in Australia. However, I am also really excited to meet new people from Australia and all over the world.

We heard about Wwoof. It seems very interesting and the community seems to be big. We hope that we will get a insight into the life of our hostfamily. We hope that we can be an enrichment to our hosts. Furthermore it is a possibility to get knowledge about the surroundings, which we maybe wouldn‘t get without Wwoof. Maybe our host can give us some recommendations about australia or a specially the place the farm is located. Wwoof seems to be a very good Community to get connected with Farms or genereally hosts. It makes it a lot easier to Check, where our help would be needed most. Because there are a lot of human with different abbilities, so some people can help better than other ones , and Vice versa.
