We want to get our hands dirty and meet some Aussies! We really wanted to live with Australians instead of just travelling as normal tourists Mikkel was in Australia three years ago in Sydney and Brisbane, but really wanted to come back. Anders has wwoofed a lot in New Zealand and had some great experiences. We think it is a great way to meet people and see what the communities are like.

We are hobby farmers on acreage, with an interest in organic farming and self-sufficiency. We are located outside the world-renowned village of Kuranda, close to Cairns, the Barrier Reef and rain forest. We are members of the Rare Fruit Group and our passion is growing our own oranges, cinnamon, tea, coffee, vanilla beans, ice-cream beans, etc. We are working with improving the soil, so lots of spreading compost, fertilizing, mowing. Also, feeding poultry and in the dry season checking sprinklers, but support may also be needed in other areas. Shared meals, mixed diet. Can be accommodating as Jan is a chef and Aneta is a dietitian. No children. No drugs. NSI. Prefer initial stays of 6-10 days, longer stays neg.

We choose to join wwoof as we are seeking new adventures and new friendships. We also hope to achieve new skills and learn about another culture and country. We also would love to explore Australia while working with something interesting, and that is why we find this kind of traveling perfect.

I have thought about it for a long time, because I am interested in expanding my horisont and because I have always been happier in the nature. I really want to gain experience and knowledge along the way and to meet new animals and people. Perhaps I even figure out that this is really something for me?

We both joined WWOOF because we want to see and experience Australia. We want to see all the beautiful sights and wonders Australia has to offer, however, we both believe that the best way to actually experience a country and its culture, is to put yourself in the midst of everything; the society/community, the working environment and the everyday life. And what better way to do that, than living with on a host farm and experience Australia hands on. We hope to challenge ourselves to become more independent. We wish to achieve knowledge of how local farmers live and work on a daily basis and of why and how agriculture is so important.

I joined WWOOF because I literally know nothing about farms or the process, and I would really like to help out to build this sustainable global community. I also joined because I find it a good source to a bed and food while travelling through Australia in exchange for work.

I joined WWOOF through Work & Travel Company and am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic & Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically. I joined WWOOF because I want to experience the real culture of Australia, on a budget. I don't want to stay in the big cities, and travel the path every backpacker does. That is why I hope to meet some lovely new people through this way.

I joined WWOOF because I am interested in learning about life on Australian Organic & Permaculture farms and learning about growing and producing organically. I grew up in the Danish countryside and always loved the freedom and nature there. Therefore I hope to experience the Australian way of making a living in the wild outbacks!

I joined WWOOF to learn about other cultures and experience the life on a farm away from the city. I therefore hope to find someone that needs a helping hand and who would be willing to host me for a little while.

I have always been a huge fan of food but didn't learn to appreciate it as much until I arrive to Scandinavia when all the food I used to get so easily become a rare gain. I grew up as a city girl but I\'ve always had a love for nature. And for the reason of food, I'd love to spend some time at the farm to learn everything that a farm needs to put effort in to supply the world. And learn to appreciate it all even more!
