We are in a unique position where we can offer our time and skills and thereby hopefully instil a deeper love and respect for our country and its diverse environment in the hearts and hands of our sons.

I have mostly lived my life as a city-girl, but I love animals and nature. I have always wanted to try and experience life in the country-side, or at a farm!

We have already spent a year in Australia and we are starting the second. We like to travel a lot, meet people, discover the country and learn a lot of things. Nature lovers, we really enjoy walking and hiking or just being outside, taking care of animals, gardening and doing DIY. We spent one year in New Zealand five years ago and we did a lot of Wwoofing. We loved it ! Now our goal is to get a third year helping hosts who are in bushfire recovery areas and doing seasonal work. Looking forward to meeting you.

I think wwoofing is perfect for me because I need to improve my level in English and spending time with people who speak English is a very good solution. It is also a good way to be of service and to learn new things and I love to learn new things. After when I have a good level in English, I will look for work to buy a vehicle and finish my trip.

REASONS for joining WWOOF

I am joining WWOOF because I like the idea of giving and receiving knowledge, skills, experiences and help without the use of money.

Due to a vehicle accident in 2019 (injuries now recovered) work opportunities I am qualified for were few, now we have the the corona crisis, so I thought to myself do something you like – go wwoofing

EXPERIENCES I AM LOOKING FOR

Experiences I am looking for include, new techniques of organic food growing; understanding the ecology of a place land and sea; grow my own food; set up gardens for others; permaculture; companion planting; caring for animals; animal husbandry, preserving food and cooking in different countries. I want to learn how to set up my own piece of land/farm may be including tourism and wwoofing. I always like to learn. I like to meet people.

I'm joining WWOOF to have a first-hand experience in ecological and organic growing. As someone who's working hospitality and hope to have his own venue, I think it's very important to learn how to work sustainable food production. I'd also like to learn some DIY, building fences and such would be a nice introduction. I'm really all about experiencing and transfering skills into other domains.

We have been living in Brisbane for the past 12 years and are looking for a bit of a change of pace. We have some skills and experience which will hopefully come in a bit handy but are looking to learn more. We are quick learners and enthusiastic so can hopefully be useful pretty quickly!

I am interested in the non-city life, and the sense of well-being it can bring to the soul - I often feel anxious and enclosed in cities. Due to having my gap-year plans cut short by this year's circumstances I am also looking to seek out new adventures, meet new people and rediscover the country I call home.
