I'm currently living and studying in Melbourne but would love to use my university holidays to spend a few weeks out of the city with nature, making new connections, exploring alternative lifestyles, and taking on physical/hands-on work and skills to complement my university studies. Last year I spent 3 beautiful months WWOOFing in Northern NSW and another 4 months in NSW/Tasmania picking blueberries and cherries so I'm well accustomed to the outdoor lifestyle and working in a variety of weather conditions. I've also recently moved into a new house and am excited to learn new knowledge and skills to apply to my empty garden!.

I join WWOOF is it will enable me to learn more about organic farming in Australia. I volunteer in a Not For Profit farm in Singapore at least once a week, now that I have retired from my regular job as an Accountant. I also like to travel and meet people and the WWOOF experience will give me this opportunity.

I am currently in Hong Kong, would like to be a WWOOFer once Australia’s borders open. I hope to stay in different farms for 2 weeks or 1 month to know how they operate the farm and how they deal with challenges.

I have basic knowledge of nutrition and farming, I am healthy and mature with good working attitude. I hope to contribute my best to the farms and gain experiences from the works. I speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin and simple Japanese. Love to meet people and make friends, I am eager to know the life story of the hosts.

Growing up in the city, I always have a dream to live on the farm. I love animals and plants and have a passion for making things from scratch. I have no that much experience in vegetation and farm works, but I have a passionate heart and willing to learn everything new. I hope to make friends with the hosts and other volunteers and become a better me at the end of the journey.

I deeply resonate with a book called Ringing Cedar - Anastasia. It talks about the relationship between human and nature and encourages that everyone should build a one-hectare self-sustained family homestead. It becomes my ultimate goal and I am going to realize it step by step. I studied a basic course about organic farming. Now I would like to learn and practice farming skills and meet some beautiful people in this network.
