With plenty of time for summer and winter vacations ,   why not do more meaningful things instead of staying at home, sleeping and playing phone? Both of us are college students from TianjinForeign Studies University, China. We like doing public welfare activities very much. We have joined the youth volunteer association in the university, and we often participate in public welfare activities outside the school. However, we would like to go beyond the campus, or even beyond the country, to go to more different places to experience public welfare, explore more wonderful world. WWOOF can help us achieve a global public service experience. At present, we also love learning very much, but actually, we want to put what we learn in books into practice. WWOOF can let us experience the authentic spoken language and authentic culture. We are both very easygoing and outgoing people who love the outdoors, travel and challenge. Outdoor travel allows us to learn many new skills, gain new feelings andmeet new friends. I believe we can quickly adapt to the environment, get along well with the host, live together, study together, work together. We are also willing to learn new skills. WWOOF can give us a unique travel in Australia. As for me,first ,the place where vast is always I love, and Australia  is absolutely the one I love。The  scenery, the people, the cultural there are so fantastic that attract me a lot!  Second,I am lways  dream about the independent life,to  exprience  the   real life , to feel,to understand,to  enlighten  and realize the trust of life, the life in Australia will satisfy this demand。Last but not least, voluntary is always what my partner and I do.Not only in school but also everywhere that need.In the past year,my partner and I did a lot. When I help others,a sense of satisfy and achivement that I never experience will make me so happy. The experience of joining WWOOF may affect our whole life. In the process of giving love, we can integrate into the local area, perceive the cultural history of different places, make friends with like-minded people around the world, learn to be grateful for life, learn to be content with what we have, expand our vision and improve ourselves. So WWOOF, Here we come!

I have some reasons why I decided to join WWOOF. Firstry, I really love nature and animals. But I don't have a lot of chances to touch them around my house. I want to feel rich nature with animals. Secondly, I'm interested in foreign culture because I can find my culture I've never noticed while learning it.

I knew this kind of experience a few years ago and i am interested in it so much. It is very helpful and friendly for the volunteers especially the new ones who do no know well about the life in foreign country. It gives me a chance to help the host do some work and to get closer to the native’s life. It will be meaningful to take care some animals or plant some fruits with some lovely guys. It will be a wonderful and unforgettable memories in my life i guess .

I am a inquisitive person who is really keen to step out of the city I am living in to experience a whole new different lifestyle. I have worked from a computer behind a desk for 7 years, WOOFing has been at the back of my mind but limited annual leave and commitments at work prevented me from signing up. I am now in between jobs and wish to seize the opportunity to do something I've always wanted to.

There are some reasons that I set up this account, One is for making more friends and having fun together! Another one is to travel “Australia”,which is on my must-go-list, with low cost ,The other is to put myself into this English-Speaking environment so that I can probably improve my English skill a lot!!!! If possible,I hope that my host is easygoing as well and glad to share me your story or introducing your culture to me!! Also,If you want to know about Chinese culture or something, I’m really happy to share with you!!!!!!!!

I joined wwoof to learn skills and knowledges about off the grid living, natural material builds, tiny houses, vegetable gardens, animals, permaculture, cooking, herbs, edible weeds, other ways of life and other people. I also joined to meet like-minded people who I can learn from, live with, share meals and conversation with. I want to return to outdoors lifestyle as I enjoyed that way of life as child living on a farm in the NT, being in the sun, getting my hands dirty, surrounded my animals and restful sleeps. I am also joining woof to save money to build a tiny house in the northern rivers, so I hope to learn various skills to apply to my own home. I hope to gain a rich life experience from my wwoof stay and many memories of my hosts. I would also like to contribute to a global community who are aiming toward a real sustainable future.

I was first introduced to the concept of WWOOF over 10 years ago when I used to host couch surfers. From that day I have wanted to get involved and now I am finally making that happen! I am all for energy exchanges/trades. I have been an active participate in the Couch Surfing community both in Australia and Overseas and would now like to immerse myself in the world of WWOOF. I would like to increase my skills/knowledge/be exposed to new things and get involved in the life that is around me/break up my week when I have space to enable it!

I found out that WWOOF is the good way to know the cultures of Australia. I want to exchange the cultures by doing WWOOF. Secondly, I really like rural areas where covered with green nature. My parents also do farm works and I know the good points of the farm working even though it is not easy working. Thirdly, because I am vegan, I became interested in do farming, especially organic. For these reasons I want to join WWOOF. Thank you.

It is a great way to start and to learn from the experts. I believe the best way to learn horticulture is to work in a farm. WWOOF offer variety of farms in different locations across Australia. My son worked as a volunteer in New Zealand. He has gained so much experience.

Inspired by reading a book, called Ringing Cedars, I start looking for an organic farm. I hope my wwoofing experience will help me to fullfil my dream of creating a kin domain in the near future. I am so eager to learn how to take care an organic farm, how to nurture plants we grow, how to eco exist with all the beings, most importantly, to understand what nature teaches us. I want to feel genuinely connected with earth, myself, and other likeminded people, as well as plants and animals. What I can offer is my caring and loving heart for the land, my opening mindset for learning and growing, my sincere effort put in every task. I would greatly appreciate for people giving me the opportunity to work in their organic farm. I value what you offered. I am very thankful for my finding my host.

Since late-March I’ve lost my hospitality job and have deferred university due to COVID-19. I’ve been living with my parents in Sydney since then and have felt a distinct lack of purpose and stimulation. I’d like to use this opportunity to spend time out of the city, explore a new lifestyle, learn more about sustainable farming and make new social connections!

Stupid depression hit me like a truck in the last few years but I've been fighting it with all my mental strength! Now that I feel almost fully recovered I'm ready to go out and establish a new relationship with the world : ) To do this I'd like to spend more time and reconnect with nature, and to realise my childhood dream of being a cowboy or just a outdoorsman really. I've also wanted to escape from the enclosure of mega-cities. I'd also love to gain some first-hand experience with 'animal husbandry' and just make friends with some horses sheep goats or cows. Oh and also I studied Impressionism in high school and I cant wait to start a few new landscape paintings!
