54 acres, 5kms from Maldon. The property is picturesque with panoramic views, large rocky granite outcrops & a swimming hole, but very dry in summer. I have clean accommodation & can adjust meals accordingly. I like showing people the many wonderful sights of the area & I enjoy cultural exchange. Can P/U in Castlemaine & Bendigo with prior notice. Large vegetable garden, orchard, herbs, flowers, hothouse, geese, beekeeping with natural warre beehives, solar, sustainable building projects & maintenance, artistic projects & a magical rescue greyhound dog. Good place to learn about Bio-dynamics. Seasonal & joyful work: gardening, harvesting, preserving, fermenting, artistic projects, building and home maintenance. I'm passionate about nature & our environment & keep learning how to live more simply on this earth.  I love my work with arts, creativity, dance & meditation, inspiring people to live well & live their best lives. Happy to host WWOOFers who are working or studying remotely, I like long term WWOOFers so if you are looking for a home in a beautiful community & some work alongside your work or study,  please be in contact. I prefer initial contact via message/email. Look forward to hear from you, Stephanie

City/Town:
Farming Methods: Biodynamic
Accommodation Type: In Our Home
I know someone who is into bio-dynamic organic farming & he's going to help me with  this new project. We are going to design & then execute a master plan for the property so it is as self- reliant as possible, we will also be using knowledge from Peter Andrews about how to turn the usually dry seasonal creek bed into a permanent year round water source, we will be doing swales & contouring of the land to slow down the water flow & to hopefully give it year round hydration that won't require hardly any extra irrigation. I already had an organic vege garden in town which was great, but the idea is to expand on that. There is a lake just next door (3-5 min drive and you are at the water’s edge), Mount Glorious Rd is also just 3 minutes away which is also a beautiful area to explore.

Our web site says it all (please check it out). We live in a beautiful part of the world. It is well & truly worth seeing and we will do our best to show you around and make you feel welcome. We are committed to Permaculture & Bio-dynamic farming and always do our best to make our WWOOFers welcome but in return expect good cooperation. Saeng is an excellent Thai cook so the food is great. 2 WWOOFers at a time is all we can take. Volunteering is mainly animal husbandry, picking, pruning, and planting vegies, weeding and a bit of cooking. We start work at sunrise & finish before lunch time. We are very strict on work ethics but it is rewarding for the right person. It is critical that you know what you are getting into when you go to the tropical rainforests, It is bug heaven with many wild animals including snakes and dingoes. It is quite safe though but if you are paranoid about natural things then this is probably not the place for you. Accommodation is in a bamboo hut. Shared meals, mixed diet. Children b.a. No smoking inside. Negotiable stays after 3-5 day visits.
