Seeking a couple or 2 friends for 1 week to 10 days. Physically able to carry out garden maintenance. Varied tasks like pruning, mulching, composting, weeding and planting. Wildlife, including kangaroos & many bird species, is abundant. There are views across the tree tops, beyond Lake Cootharaba, to the Teewah sands on coast just north of Noosa. I value earth-friendly and ecologically sustainable lifestyles and activities and for me, WWOOFing embodies that. I WWOOFed on a number of farms 30 years ago when WWOOFing was young and I even interviewed WWOOFing hosts for an ABC radio program that I made about it. I enjoy the opportunities that WWOOFing offers, to share and learn new skills and to sample a range of environmentally friendly lifestyles. I value community and am about to embark (in July) on an Australia-wide search for a co-housing community, where I can settle in the long-term. I see WWOOFing around Australia as complementary to that. It might also help me to decide where I might settle.

To go rural in my own backyard. Unfortunately, I won't have the chance to go on a rural placement as part of my degree so am looking to go rural and get some horse-y experience under my belt during one of my university breaks. I am especially interested in WWOOFing experiences that include horse care, mustering or other horse experience activities.

First joined in 2018 then did a spell on Workaway for a year overseas. Great experiences all round. I've also used couchsurfing dot com and found it amazing the people you can meet and the kind of world we live in where all these things are possible. I've always volunteered since childhood so this is just a continuation of that idea about working together and giving what we can.

We hope to gain knowledge and inspiration from people who work with land, animals and communities in diverse ways. We want to go outside our fields of knowledge and see what is happening out in the big wide world of farming and alternative living. We hope to one day start a project of our own and we believe that this is a step towards those dreams.

Well after working for Woolworths as a manager for ten years I needed to challenge myself about what my passions are. I love working with my hands and creating things from wood and plants. Living off grid would be an ideal situation for me and my dog and I love open spaces to play around on. I want to learn more skills such as welding, self sustainability, arts, and meeting and learning from new friends. I want to turn the page in each chapter of my life and look back and see what an adventure I’ve had. Carpe dium.

Arnie and I are doing an open ended road trip from Melbourne to Darwin to Cairns and back to Melbourne. We are extremely interested in stopping at some point on the way to stay somewhere we can work and learn new life skills. We would like to find somewhere we could work with growing crop and livestock. We are flexible in our interests and wants within the stay if it feels right for us.

I have joined WWOOF to learn new skills and gain experience working in a farming environment. In the longer term, I am considering moving into a regional area and focussing more on working on the land and simplifying my lifestyle. I'm interested in understanding how people can make organic farming work for them and I am keen to get involved in physical work which I enjoy.

To be honest, I was never traveling outside Asia. I would like to have this opportunity to get along with foreiger, make friend with them and learn about their working styles and habits. On the other hand, I would like to improve my English level.

To meet new people and doing purposeful work. I also like exchanging knowledge and discovering best practices. I am seeking out environmentally-conscious living-spaces and workplaces that promote better health for humans and the planet in general.

Great opportunity and reason to travel, spend time in nature, work with animals, connect with new people and support to build and maintain their sustainable living practices, learn along the way and to feel inspired and energised.

We joined WWOOF because we want to reduce our environmental impact and try to live our lives in a sustainable way. We are both quite practical but we would like to offer our time and energy to learn new skills from our hosts that we can take with us in our journey to becoming more self-sufficient. And of course we look forward to visiting all the places in Australia we've not yet explored!

My daughter and me, moved to the far west region at the end of 2019 I have longed for creating of stories and hearing new ones, and telling mine. meeting new people and having the experiences you can't get in suburbia. I want to breathe life into my daughter before the screens consume her too. meeting new people and having the experiences you can't get in suburbia. I know I have moved on from the hell of a life I lived since I was dropped out at the end of year 10 under no choice of my own.

I don't love living full time in the city. I've always known about WWOOFing and have wanted to join, so here I am. I do not have room for a garden where I live at the moment and would love to spend time helping out on a property with a garden or a farm. I would love to learn about organic farming, permaculture etc. and I've had chickens in the past and love them. I prefer to learn hands on, am a quick learner and a hard worker, I also look forward to exploring and meeting new people while not working.

Sustainability, regenerative agriculture and food security are going to be integral to our future and what better time to get ones hands dirty than the middle of a pandemic.

I joined because I would like to do some farm work and have the opportunity to have a look around Tasmania. I’ll have limited cash flow for a while until I find paid work in Tasmania so the WWOOFing accommodation in exchange for farm work sounds ideal.
