I'm turning my life towards a healthier path as I don't drink or smoke anymore and trying to be vegetarian. So learning about the farm lifestyle and and knowing what I could achieve learning from the hosts itself is exciting for me and a great place to start. I'd also like to have my own farm one day. That'll be ideal.

Shambhala Oasis is a 10 acre rain forest property in Northern NSW Rivers Region which is being developed as a Spiritual Sanctuary and Learning Centre. One component of the vision is Shambhala Enterprise Cottage Industries, which includes organic production of fruit, veges & bush tucker superfoods. We are at the early stages of developing this property with quite a lot of planting, watering, bush fire mitigation, and building maintenance to do. The property is also dedicated land for nature, and we are blessed with a huge range of native birds, cute bush wallabies and panoramic views. Suitable for mature honest people with a sincere interest in non violence, spirituality & systemic change who can work unsupervised and love wildlife. This is an alcohol, tobacco & other drug free space thats loosely run like a post modern ashram or meditation centre with simple plant based diet.

I am wanting a tree change. Tired of the city life. I also want to see some of this great country and give back to the backbone of this country. My plan is to have no fixed address for awhile. I have had a desire to work on farms for a long time and now is the time to make that move. I want to learn a whole lot of new skills and put those skills to use by helping out our farmers. I'm looking to meet so many interesting and fabulous people and Wwoofing seem like a great way to do that. I'm wanting life to not be predictable and not the same #%*! different day kina of thing. I want new people, new landscape, new horizons, new challenges

3hrs from Melbourne Airport I am a retired secondary school teacher and run a small BnB business and, having moved onsite recently, I am establishing the garden and maintaining the property. I keep bees, and wish soon to increase the number of hives I have. I have hosted many Couchsurfers in my own flat, but will provide more private accommodation with the help of WWOOFers ASAP. The property is within a short distance of the Halls Gap village, and is set adjacent to the very popular Grampians National Park, famous for its mountains, wildlife and hiking and climbing. There is usually abundant opportunity for additional work in local restaurants, etc., if desired.

Our farm is a mixed cropping, and grazing property set in a stunning valley in the foothills of the Richmond ranges National Park. We grow ginger, turmeric and garlic, along with vegetables, berries and a mixed fruit and nut orchard. Our animals include a small Jersey dairy herd, a few beef cows and five steers for meat. We also have five heritage breeding sows and a boar, and a few of our last batch of piglets. In addition we have poultry, Pekin ducks for eggs and meat, a mixed flock of about 3t chickens that produce gorgeous eggs daily. Finally, we have 19 guinea fowl, noisy, messy and often down-right annoying, but they eat ticks and keep snakes away. Other animals, we have two beautiful ginger cats for vermin control, mainly in the sheds, and a beautiful, loveable and majestic livestock guardian dog, a two- year-old Maremma, called Baci.

Our small plot intensive farm called Mad Rams Potager Gardens is at its infancy stage of development as we have decided to make a lifestyle change and move to Strahan Tasmania. We are committed to a number of farming methodologies which include permaculture/ no dig principles and importantly Aboriginal traditional agricultural practices which we believe make our farm somewhat unique..We are wanting to create an ecologically supportive sustainable farm which has the ability to adapt to changing climatic conditions while also bringing to the local community both traditional foods and introduced foods which complement each other rather than compete. We also have a beautiful historically rich spacious home (a 1906 boat harbour masters home 246sm of home 86sm verandah and 46sm of powered shed) which we are happy to share with volunteer wwoofers...we also welcome volunteers to gain an understanding of Aboriginal culture and the Australian culture which makes this beautiful country unique...our farm has some challenges but we have a vision which we believe every volunteer will be able to contribute to and leave an indenable footprint...we hope to foster great relationships shared knowledge and some wisdom in our exchange...Mad Rams Potager Gardens will be one of the first market gardens in our area which is exciting and challenging, yet definetly rewarding. We have amazing birdlife and animals... we are surrounded by one of the most intact wet temperate forests in the world and a beautiful bay. We are also located in the gorgeous night skies of the araura australis lights....We chose this beautiful place because if it's dependable rainfall community and opportunity to give back to the land and eco system in keeping with Aboriginal custodial tradition..We welcome you to consider joining us for part of our journey and be part of Mad Rams Potager Gardens establishment... We will also open our home for you to experience traditional and home cooked meals. We are also happy to share some of our rich culture
