I'm really concerned about the way we live as a society and how we might be doing real damage to nature. I'd like to learn more about organic farming and the relation between society and nature in a practical way. WWOOF looks like a good way to do it while I can also meet new people and travel around the amazing country that is Australia.

We joined in hopes of learning more about organic farming. We’ve also been craving to get out of the city and reconnect with nature and hopefully find a lovely area that we might want to move to one day.

Skills I Want to Learn:
I want to join a project that allows me to get away from the chaos of the city, and finally connect with the Australian nature and people. I love animals, one of my dream job would be work close to them, but in general I am looking for any kind of experience that can give me a background in sustainable development

My father has had experience in the past WWOOFing through Aus, NZ, France and England. He bought the membership as a gift for me to experience Australia and learn about new places. I would like to gain new skills, meet like-minded people and develop my personality through these experiences.

To find some short term work, meet people and gain new experiences. I'm always eager to learn new things and gain new perspectives. I’m hoping to get some short term work on an organic property, I’m vegan and I am all about supporting a healthy life style and I believe organic farming is crucial for the health and future of this beautiful planet we call home.

We joined WWOOF because we love to get to know new people, cultures and communities. We like to share stories while having some good food and just gaining some life experience. We're also very keen on learning new and trying different things.

I joined WWOOF so that I can learn different methods and styles of farming through volunteering at multiple farms. My partner Douglas and I hope to have our own farm one day and are interested in gaining a wide range of information about farming while volunteering at many different farms.

I joined WWOOF because I want to improve my relationship to the land. I would like to develop farming and building skills, and also to learn land and animal care in various dedicated environments.

I'm very interested in the possibility of sustainable living systems, what they look like, how to set them up and maintain them. I appreciate learning from people that I can then work with, and put theory to action under gentle guidance.

When I originally joined WWOOF UK in late 2018 it was a combination of a passion fuelled motivation to live life how I want to, coincidental or universal signs, timing, and the fact that WWOOF aligned with my values and passions. I was looking for a change. I knew what I wanted to do but had no idea how to do it. But thankfully I stumbled upon the world of WWOOFing and saw it as the perfect opportunity for me. I was very thorough with my research as there are many other companies that offer similar experiences, also because I was young and travelling solo, but WWOOF always stuck out to me the most. I have always felt that nature is my true home and nothing makes me happier than travelling, spending time nurturing the earth, and connecting with new people and places. Choosing WWOOF the first time around was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I'm more than excited to dive back into the experience - this time in my home country!

To learn more about holistic farm practices and meet cool people I have a passion for natural farming and look forward to gaining experience to apply to my own farm in the future. I heard about WWOOF and instantly realised this would be something I would love.

I've joined WWOOF as a way for me to acquire new skills, friendships and experiences. I have been called to move up north (Northern Rivers area) and this opportunity will allow me to explore new areas while furthering my skills. I love being part of a community and get much satisfaction out of helping others. For me WWOOFing is the perfect combination of what I want at this stage of my life.

Recently moved to the area over 6 months ago. Looking to expand my knowledge in all areas of gardening and horticulture. Looking to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone through this process. Keen for where the adventure takes me.

I have a long term plan that I am really hoping to achieve, and by joining this program it will give me the opportunity of learning from multiple farmers and gaining as much knowledge as possible. My dream is to run a bio-dynamic, self sustainable farm that has a small restaurant on the land, directly supported by the farm. If there are farmers that are seeking a young, hard working girl who is eager to learn and be taught, I am so ready to move my furniture into storage and jump on a plane to wherever you are if need be.

We both wanted an opportunity to meet different people, to lend a hand and learn their ways of organic agriculture. It would create a level of intimacy and purpose to our travels. We hope to learn how people go about contributing to our populations food or feed themselves, from paddock to plate with minimal impact on the environment. To open our minds to alternative practice and getting us in touch with the work that goes into our food. Develop an appreciation for our meals and a respect towards the land it comes from. And SIMPLY we just would like to get our hands dirty and then share a rewarding meal and beverage with the hosts post our hard days work. To share our stories and have a laugh.

I’ve never had a Wwoofing experience before but one of my best friends did several ones in New Zealand. He told me that was one of his best experiences during his travel in NZ. I've had different sharing experiences thanks to couchsurfing, I got the opportunity to live with locals people during my travel in USA then in Australia since my arrival. So I would like to do Wwoofing for sharing time with local people, discover their lifestyle and improving my English and learn many news skills aswell. Thanks to my studies I got some knowledges about preserving and processing food, fermenting food, cheese making and marketing produce but it’s just knowledges and I want to put them into practice. I’m also really interesting to learn new skills about organic practices, composting, animal care etc.. I’ve always been curious and interesting to learn news things. As Albert Einstein said "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing."

I joined WWOOF because although working on a farm has been a dream of mine since high school, I have since spent seven years working in an office so I thinks it's about time I went and explored Australia and had a go at farm work. My experience is very minimal but I am very keen and would love to learn lots of new skills, I have some knowledge of gardening as that has interested me since childhood.
