Serenity on Smiths Creek – A Thriving Permaculture Oasis
Nestled in the picturesque Smiths Creek, Kyogle, our 100-acre property is a vibrant tribute to sustainable living and community building. Inspired by permaculture principles, we’re creating a thriving ecosystem that showcases biodiversity and eco-friendly practices.
Our Projects:
Food Forest: Maintaining a 2-acre orchard of lush food forest, featuring an ornamental garden, raised vegetable and herb beds, and a stunning rose garden.
Swales and Water Management: Collaborating with a seasoned permaculture expert, we’ve designed and implemented five swales in our back paddock, supporting our cattle agistment and sustainable water management.
Eco-Friendly Campsites: Developing campsites along the creek, complete with a camp kitchen, amenities, and potentially an aircrete sauna.

Why I became a WWOOF Host

Experience Our Regenerative Lifestyle Journey
In 2020, I made the move from suburban life on the Gold Coast to a 100-acre property in Smiths Creek, Kyogle. My goal was to create a sustainable lifestyle and food forest, and I’m excited to share this journey with like-minded individuals.
As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to realize the importance of adopting manageable and sustainable practices. I’ve developed an approach I call “Easy Man’s Gardening,” and I’m eager to learn from others and share my knowledge.
Help Wanted
We’re looking for assistance with various tasks, including:
