We have just purchased this gorgeous property 5 months ago and are busily building a campers haven. We are doing some major land regeneration and need some help. Work could include helping to remove invasive plants and trees, cleaning out of debris from our waterways, mowing lawns and general maintenance, helping build dams, build and create new camping structures like camp kitchens, toilet block and communal campfire meeting area. Could also include house cleaning and set up for a bed and breakfast and light domestic chores such as shopping and cooking meals. Any handyman skills or general gardening experience would be greatly received. No experience really needed just a good work ethic and attitude. Anyone with social media experience or building and marketing websites would love hanging out here too!!!! All suggestions greatly appreciated.
On your time off you could listen to the babbling water sounds of Scrubby Creek and the Mary River that meandering through the perimeter of the property for over 1 kilometer. Stroll through our little rainforest, paddle in the creek or have a dip in one of the many rock pools. We will even let you build as many rock towers as you like! Throw an inner tube in the creek and float around. Plenty of trees to put up a hammock or grab a soak in our outdoor bath with views overlooking the wilderness. Sit back and gaze at the starlit skies, share a campfire with us and roast some marshmallows. Snuggle up during winter and cool down around the rainforest in summer. Abundant wildlife, lots of kangaroos and wallabies, koalas, endangered frogs and beautiful birds everywhere. Oh and we have platypus too!!!
We’re 1 hr 15mins from Brisbane. Husband and wife with two kids and a dog. Nice country house to welcome you and to be part of the family.
