Hello! We are an elderly couple who are living our permaculture dream in the beautiful village atmosphere of ST Albans on the Macdonald River near the Hawkesbury River 90mins drive to Sydney. Looking for 1-2 WWOOFers helpers who can make the dream happen. Work 20 hours a week for accommodation and meals. Looking for to help with general work Jobs may include gardening Pruning, mulching, raking, weeding., fermenting, helping to make beer, home and garden maintenance, cooking, building (if you have the skills) we have 2 goats that need a shed built etc.
One of our projects is we want to build a rock wall into a permaculture garden with pallets and straw to build a vertical garden. We have chicken's ducks and 2 goats. We can teach you how to milk the goat.
The work is not hard, but it is necessary that it is done well for the well-being of our animals. Food is great and own room, in clean, comfortable home. If you really want to experience genuine farm life this is for you. We are on a beautiful river and so you can kayak or use the boat (tinny)to go fishing or swimming.
