Over the last several months my friend and I have been dreaming and planning a farm of our own. Neither one of us has too much experience with working on a farm however. Travelling has been important to me since I was a small child and my dad would tell me stories of his adventures. I've always dreamed of visiting Australia and I think this program offers a unique opportunity to truly see the country. Through this program I hope to learn about different ways of farming, as well as the ins and outs of every day life on a working farm. Getting to stay and work on a farm while also being able to explore a new country is a way to combine two very important things to me.

We are both sensitive to the issues regarding climate change and the impact our trip has on the environment. That’s why we wanted to try alternative ways to travel. Also, we believe organic and sustainable agriculture is very important. As a bonus we get to live a more authentic experience and hopefully get to help people at the same time.

I'm joining WWOOF because I love travelling and meeting new people and, even though I don't need to do any farm days for my visa anymore, I still love working outdoors and learning new skills.

I love meeting and connecting with new people as well as gardening, farming, the outdoors, and spending time in nature. I am interested in building community and connection in my time abroad, as well as connecting with the physical earth I stand upon. Additionally, as our general society moves towards a capitalist function, I am interested in engaging in exchanges that don't focus on monetary value as I think other types of trade offer a more meaningful and thoughtful exchange. For all of these reasons, I am deeply interested in WWOOF and am delighted to join.

After a few WWOOFing experiences in France, I'd love to discover new farming techniques and meet environmental-friendly people in Australia! I am hoping to find a respectful, diverse and friendly community to learn and grow, and share my knowledge.

Because as young adults born and raised in the Capital of Europe (Brussels), we would like to experience a slower pace of life, less stressfull and closer to nature. We think that working on organic farms can bring us that peace and give us the possiblity to be autonomous in the way we live 🙂

I’ve long been passionate about living sustainably and eating organic. During my current break from work I have started some modest vegetable gardening in my backyard and loved it! I want to keep learning more about organic gardening, particularly things like composting, worm farming and how to control pests. I believe that working on a WWOOFin farm, amongst experienced gardeners/farmers, will be inspiring and an invaluable place to learn new skills. I’ve been looking to challenge myself and WWOOFin provides the opportunity to travel somewhere new, but with a purpose!

Someone told me about this organisation and i was searching for a way to get my 88days. But i wanted to stay in the Byron area because it’s pretty amazing around here. So someone came up with this and i got lucky to find a place next Byron and complete the 88days with volunteer work, which is really nice. I want to do more volunteer work in the future, but probably not in Australia, cause it’s a really rich country. I’d prefer to do it somewhere else, but yeah, i’ll see what’s gonna happen!

I love meeting people my age who are down for adventures. When I was wwoofing in Hawaii I had established a great community of young people who I could do alot with and it was so great! I am also looking to travel Australia and earn some money but I thought Wwoofing would be a good place to start as it includes accomidation.

I am completely in agreement with the WWOOFING project that I find great, I adhere to it completely. I am interested in ecology in all its forms. I have some experience in this field and some projects around this theme, so to do Wwoofing here, during my WHV would be a great opportunity.

I am currently a member of WWOOF Canada and have spent some time on one of their host farms and I also have been volunteering at an urban farm in Toronto, Canada where I live. I also volunteer with different local Toronto stewardship activities, and I find that I learn more from practical hands-on learning opportunities. I am hoping to combine my interest in travelling with learning about sustainable agriculture.

I’d love to get to know the Aussie way of life and everything that goes with it. I’d be very happy to make trips together and see the secret spots only locals know about - that's why I want to stay with the locals 🙂
