To be in contact with families and have a free experience. To have the feeling of helping and being thanked for it. I'm thirsty for adventure.I want to base my trip on human relationships rather than tourist activities. What's more, Australia is famous for woofing. And the countryside suits me the best. I really enjoy learning new things, especially when i understand what my work is for and my role in the natural process.

As a teenager I lived on Woofing farm with my dad. I loved working and living on farms in Albany. As an adult I have done woofing in Europe in Croatia and have volunteered on a farm in Vietnam. My dream is to own my own farm one day. At the moment I would like the convenience of being close to my family in Perth, whilst also being able to live on a farm.

I got involved with various local volunteer groups in London which gave me a huge sense of satisfaction and purpose through giving back to the community and spending my time doing things that I felt made some sort of impact. I particularly enjoyed anything relating to conservation and found myself wanting to get stuck into as much as I could during the weekend and any evenings I had free during the week. Whilst travelling for the last few months, I felt like I’ve been missing this sense of purpose as well as a bit of routine which I feel helping out through WWOOFING can give me. I also plan on transitioning to a career in environmental conversation and would love to learn more skills to help with this (or even just pick up some tips and tricks to help me when I eventually get a garden back home!).

Not much I can say apart from the above - a mate of mine recommended me to WWOOF, as a way to explore rural culture and lifestyle. Can’t wait to get out into the bush full time - I spend half my time out of town these days anyway!

We want to use WOOFING as an opportunity to get to know another side of Australia. To get to know more of the local people and life. For us, it's a way to learn things about farming and taking care of animals, about the people, and also about ourselves, and growing with that experience. It also seems like a good way of having something stable for a view days/weeks to stay and structure our day around. Which can be a nice relief from staying in hostels and traveling a lot. We are especially looking forward to working with animals. We don't mind working in the fields either, as we have always spent a lot of time outdoors. It was important to our parents that we understood that a little dirt on our clothes wasn't the end of the world. To be completely transparent, it is also a good way to save money.
