I joined WWOOF because I want to work on a farm with animals and get in touch with Australians. I also want to see more of the rural side of Australia because I have only seen big cities like Brisbane and Sydney so far. I hope that I’ll be able to learn more about Australia’s nature and hopefully also some wildlife. I’m very fascinated by the animals and plants I’ve seen so far in the cities because they’re so different to Germany. I would also love to learn more about different work with animals because I probably want to do a job with animals in the future but I’m unsure what it’ll be. I have searched for some work for accommodation on farms but it’s hard to find work like that outside of WWOOF. After some Australians and also other backpackers recommended WWOOF to me I thought I’d give it a try. So here I am! 🙂

I own a small property in outback NSW (Silverton). I have pet camels, goats, deer, sheep, alpacas, donkeys, ponies, pigs, water buffalo, dogs, cats, emus, ostriches, chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, turkeys. They are all well looked after and it takes a couple hours in the morning and afternoon to look after all the farm animals. ie feeding them and walking some of them. Silverton is approx 20 minutes from Broken Hill. Silverton is a very small town which has a local pub, bakery and cafe and several art gallaries. Broken Hill has several supermarkets, shops, tourist attractions and health services.

I joined WWOOFING because a friend of mine is already in Australia and highly recommended this way to travel. I really hope to meet new people and expand my knowledge about Australia, its flora and fauna. I am also interested in the insight into life in Australia that you get through WWOOFING. It is something completely different than living in hostels, only with other travelers. I hope to have a great time and gain a lot of new knowledge and skills.

I joined WOOF because I think that for me, it is a very good opportunity to learn about this kind of lifestyle. Learn that we are part of a large and complex ecosystem, and how all the elements are related to each other. In any case, I get the feeling that learning this way of life and philosophy requires lifelong study and learning. Also, I have to say that one of my dreams life it is to start an agricultural project like this from the beginning. Obviously in the future, and I don't know where, But for now, my idea it is to learn as musch as possible. I hope of this experience to meet such value and conscious people. Learn this lifestyle and a great deal of techniques and processes involved on this agricultural methods. And for sure enjoy a lot! Thank you!

I'm looking to do some WWOOFing to save money and explore new parts of Australia. I have worked as a farm hand and physical labourer in the past back home in Canada. Throughout my travels I've learned that the best way to experience a new country is by spending time with locals, especially in rural areas. I'm hoping to experience life in rural Australia and get a feel for what the country is really like outside of the major cities. I'd also love to learn a little bit about farming, gardening, and sustainable living.

We would just really like an opportunity to try something new. To gain a new perspective and to give back to people who have given two strangers a chance. We just know we will thoroughly enjoy being a part of your farm & family and hope to learn as much from our hosts as they do about us.

As much as I love to travel, I am interested in how other people live. I also love animals and gardening, so I hope to get more experience in that area. I like the feeling of being around people and feeling at home, and I hope to find that at WOOFING. Being part of a family and actively participating in their day means a lot to me. I am convinced that WOOFING is one of the best ways to get to know locals and their culture.

I would love to have a new experience and challenge doing something I’ve never done before and getting to spend time with interesting people in their home.

I joined WWOOF to get the opportunity to meet new interesting people as I am traveling alone through Australia for 6 months. I love to be on the countryside and enjoy the beauty of it. I really like the idea to travel from farm to farm, giving a helping hand and not needing to much money while traveling. As I already have expierience in typical farm work, I am sure I can help you out and I hope you can show me more about your beautiful country in exchange
