Id like to connect with other travelers as well as Australians through authentic experiences. I want to help but also learn about agriculture and buddhism for example. I think an experience like this will allow me to get to know different aspects of the world in a much more detailed ways then any other.

As a solo traveller, I am looking to connect with locals and meet a community of like-minded people. As someone interested in food and cooking, I am also concerned with food production, ethical consumption, and sustainability. I am always looking to broaden my horizons and since I have been interested in environmental issues, sustainable farming and wildlife conservation for a long time, I would love to gain hands-on experiences and learn more about one or more of those topics through Wwoofing. I am very outgoing, enthusiastic and always open to new challenges and adventures!

I would love to volunteer my work in a space that I appreciate and adds to my overall wellbeing. Having some housing and food added to the mix sounds like a great deal to me.

We are Stuart, Victoria, and Timmy. We are just starting as Wwoof hosts again after a break of over 20 years. We live on a 300 acre conservation covenanted property in South Gippsland. We have a small clearing in the forest where we have an orchard, vegetable gardens and chickens. We have walking trails through the forest to be able to monitor and access more remote parts of the property. The dominant trees here are Mountain ash, some are huge and many have excellent hollows for animal homes. The river, creeks and gullys are filled with tree-ferns, mosses and fungi. It is a home to many important animal species such as the gang-gang, long-nosed bandicoots, koala, platypus, suberb lyrebirds and the powerful owl. We work with Trust for Nature to protect this forest ecosystem and manage threats so it can store and sequester carbon, preserve biodiversity as well as provide clean water for the community. This forest is unique and endangered and plays an important role in providing a refuge for many native species. We do a variety of farm tasks in the home gardens and out in the forest. From Dec to April we can take 1-4 wwoofers at Lyrebird camp in our tents or your own accommodation. If you prefer to stay inside we can accommodate a single or a couple in our spare room year round. If you are camping then longer stays are possible. If you are in the house then 2-3 days There is plenty to do here when you are not working. We have many walking trails and a large dam for swimming and you can take the canoe for a paddle to try and find the long-necked turtles!  We are close to the Prom, (Wilsons Promontory national park) and surf beaches.

I used to watch a lot of western when I was a kid. For now I have had a woofing experience in Colorado, and enjoyed it ! Roger taught me to raise vegetables, drive a pick-up, paint a porch, watch a dog work with the sheep, planting poles, take off stones from a dry land, selling goods at a local market. I had the pleasure of discovering Georges Jones, Hank Williams and many other artists, tasting some real branded american donuts, and go to Walmart. I want to learn more about farming and ranching, I'm attracted by this kind of life.

WWoofing is the best way for me to get to know the country and the different lifestyles and areas of work authentically. I am interested in meeting Australia and its people outside of tourism and look forward to additional support with my work. Since I have just finished school, I hope to find new inspiration and interests on my journey.

I joined WWOOF Australia in order to have access to enriching volunteer experiences in Australia. Having done many workaways in Europe and New Zealand, I wanted to expand my access to farms and communities where I can be of service while endlessly learning.

One of my dreams is to live a self-sufficient life. Therefore, I want to gain experience by living on a farm. I love nature and animals, and I will do my best, no matter what I pursue!

I joined WWOOF because I think it's a good way to experience life in australia, rather than watching it as a tourist. I'm always keen to learn new ways of farming because I'm sure it'll come in handy later in my life/career

Our property stretches from from 500m altitude at our home base right up to 1200m in the mountains. We graze our livestock according to the season and keep them moving onto fresh pasture. I am joining WWOOF to become apart of a community of hardworking and adventure driven individuals. I love meeting new people and learning from their experiences. I think that every individual has a story to tell and there is extreme value in learning as many stories as possible. Not only does WWOOF allow me to meet and immerse myself in a life perspective different than my own, but it also will allow me to get my hands dirty and learn new skill sets. I look forward to stepping out of my comfort zone and taking as much from this experience as possible.

I decided to join WWOOF because I wanted to have a more meaningful and hands-on experience during my time in Australia. I am passionate about sustainable living and interested in learning more about farming practices. WWOOF provides a unique opportunity to connect with local communities, learn directly from farmers, and contribute to environmental stewardship. Beyond the practical skills, I also value the chance to meet people from diverse backgrounds, share cultural experiences, and immerse myself in a lifestyle that promotes respect for nature. I believe that working on a farm will give me a deeper understanding of sustainable agriculture, while also allowing me to enjoy the simplicity and fulfillment that comes with working close to the land. In essence, I joined WWOOF to grow personally, contribute positively to the environment, and connect with like-minded people who share similar values about living in harmony with nature.

I joined WWOOF to be able to find accommodation in Australia together with Aussies because I am curious to find out about Australian daily lives. And while I wouldn't say I enjoy farm or garden work extremely I do find it appealing: For one because it is outdoor work and I want to enjoy the Australian sun while I am there, even though it technically is the same as the German and the Australian flora and fauna. Secondly, I hope to find it nostalgic because I used to help my grandfather (Hungarian side) with his farm work when I was little kid in a village outside of Budapest.

I used to work as an engineer about four and a half years. But recently I have recently developed sense of urgency regarding environment issues. This realization has led me to want to dedicate my career to addressing the needs of those who are disproportionately affected by environmental and social challenges.

25 bushland acres in Bucketty, northern Central Coast, NSW. We are surrounded by Yengo National Park, Olney State Forest, and the Watagan Mountains. This area has huge ecological significance, with Yengo listed as part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Because of this, our property has an abundance of native wildlife and fauna, including hundreds of endangered and rare species. We are neurodivergent and work therapeutically with clients at our property a few times a week. I am currently researching, planning and working through an ecological restoration of the site. We have (indoor) cats, dogs, chickens, guinea fowl and at times native wildlife being rehabilitated through WIRES.

I joined WWOOF because I would love to stay and work on a farm for a couple of weeks after traveling for quite a while. I would love to learn more about organic farming in Australia. Animal welfare is very important to me. I am hoping to learn new skills and jump into the real farmlife.
