The new website seems to be doing it’s job of attracting more travellers to wwoof, if enquiries to our farm are any indication. It is, therefore, worthwhile mentioning to prospective WWOOFers that it is vital that your profile is complete because without it, many hosts like ourselves (who have also signed up with other similar hosting schemes because we were getting so few WWOOF enquiries), find that we have plenty of enquiries from potential guests so we are much much more likely to chose people who have provided an extensive profile. Hosts are (generally) busy farmers who do not have the time to go asking a lot of questions of people who are enquiring, so if you (as a WWOOFer) wish to increase the chance of being accepted by a host, please make your profile (along with photos) as comprehensive as possible.

I totally agree. Our biggest bugbear is not saying where they are in Australia.
We have replied to several wwoofer enquiries who have no idea that inland qld is not close to WA coastline. Total waste of time for both parties, especially when using limited English.
3 calls today with an Italian boy, each lasting over 5 minutes during the day. Finally my husband said ok, we will give you a trial. Then he asked for the hourly rate we pay?
No thank you. German couple arrived after saying they were not a couple. Because we had 2 single beds, they left. We had turned away people and had a large picking day the following day. Finding it hard to stay positive.
