Recent college graduate with work experience in farm-to-table restaurants in Vermont, USA. Looking to expand my knowledge of the farm side of the experience as well as travel to somewhere new and place myself into a completely new reality.
I’ve enjoyed improving my home garden as I gained more knowledge of the agricultural/horticultural world. Combining my educational background in biology with horticulture and food is eventually my goal and I think an experience like this would help me understand and appreciate the process from another perspective.
I enjoy working hard but like to stay positive and humorous in general. Always eager to learn new things and look forward to experiencing something brand new with this program.
Why I joined WWOOF
My experience working in restaurants that utilize local, organic food systems has shaped my own lifestyle and consumption to reflect that same mission.
I think it’s important to understand where food comes from and I get extremely excited when I’m able to either grow my own produce or buy it from a local farm at the Co-Op.
I want to experience this side of things and build on my general knowledge of horticulture to become a more well-rounded chef and consumer.
