Short Property Description

We have a 400 acre farm 15min drive from the beautiful town of Esperance, with the most beautiful beaches in the Southern Hemisphere. Our farm is only 7 km from the ocean (as a crow flies). We have bikes available for you to explore the area & its beautiful scenery. Depending on our schedules and how long you stay and jobs on we sometimes show people some beaches or other scenery further out. We also have an industrial property together on the edge of town (less then 5km’s to the ocean and town) depending on housing project we stay there or on the farm.

We run cattle, a few horses, dairy goats, chickens, turkey’s & a dog. We grow crops & hay for the cows. We also grow some of our own vegetables, herbs & several fruit trees. Our aim is to become self sufficient.

Volunteering can include help with (but is not limited to) feeding cattle, fencing, planting trees, checking, maintaining & installing water infrastructure & general farm maintenance. At times we also have construction and other jobs happening That we need help with.

Accommodation for 1-2. Most meals shared, mixed diet. Children b.a. No smoking. Initial stay 2 days to see if it “clicks” but preferably minimum stay of a week. then negotiable. Can pick up from Esperance.

We like learning about others people’s culture and foods. During dinner time (or sometimes during jobs if the type of job is suitable to it) we are up for a chat about worldly issues and different perspectives of this. At night we also at times like to play board or card games with the family.
