Hello from our family of 4 Hu, Gen, Atticus and Jarrah (8 year old fraternal twins)! Hu and I had a wonderful time travelling and WWOOFING through New Zealand, Canada and Alaska in 2008. We made fond memories and lifelong friends! We can’t wait to share the experience with our hard working, no fuss boys when we take long service leave to travel around Australia in 2021!
As a family we are passionate about sustainable living, community and taking care of our planet. We love the outdoors! We are keen hikers – Gen also enjoys ultra trail running. We love investigating and learning about indigenous flora and fauna.
Atticus is a keen bird watcher and Jarrah loves bush craft.
Hu carries with him a sense of calm. He has a penchant for problem solving and persisting to see through any projects or jobs which come his way. When he is not on long service leave he works in environmental sustainability.
Gen enjoys physical work and always brings a healthy scoop of enthusiasm to any task she is given. She enjoys creating healthy meals with fresh ingredients. When she is not on long service leave she works as a Primary School Teacher.
Atticus is a deep thinker and will always surprise people he meets with the questions he asks. He loves gardening . As a keen bird watcher, he was proud of spotting two powerful owls this year!
Jarrah has a kind heart and enjoys encouraging others. He loves being given tasks to help with and working in a team. He enjoys finding fossils and drawing.
We will be travelling with our own 4×4 caravan and tent and will happily sleep in that if needed!
Why I joined WWOOF
We have a passion for organic farming and had wonderful experiences when we WWOOFed in Alaska, Canada and New Zealand in 2008.
We are travelling around Australia while we are on long service leave in 2021 and are looking forward to spending some of the time WWOOFing!
